I've heard it said that some people these days see truth as being relative, and this view is common on the Left. Is that true? because it seems to be that way. Why am I concerned? Government is supposed to keep society stable and safe. You're supposed to vote for the party that can do this best. The best party for this job is the one that can accurately interpret reality in terms of the nation's flaws, be able to explain their plans to fix the nation in a clear manner, and their plans are supposed to make rational sense. But I think that the Left fails in this regard. Some examples: 1. Some people think they have their own personal truth. They use the words "my truth", meaning that they think their personal experiences and preferences determine reality. Some people I've seen who seem to think this way the most often are fat activists, lgbt people (i've heard a gay black man say "my truth" more than once) and black liberals (usually black liberal women). I don't know why I've these specific people use this reasoning the most often; must be a coincidence. 2. There seems to be a narrative that pro 2nd amendment conservatives are trigger-happy White Bible-toting men, and that these men are exceptionally violent. okay. well, a lot of gun violence occurs in inner cities. places that have a lot of people of color, and are often more liberal and secular. but pointing this out disrupts the narrative, does it not? 3. I need an actual reason to vote for a party. But it seems like the Democrats don't have real policy positions. Instead, they seem to rely on emotion. To create an air of stigma around their opponents and an air of likability around themselves. Like utilizing character assassination against conservatives (examples include calling JD Vance weird or accusing Trump of a bunch of random crimes). or to try to win votes by creating positive emotions via pandering (like Kamala speaking at a rally with Megan Thee Stallion there).
