Why do police get so much more praise than other occupations?

People call them finest after whatever city they're in. I think it's ridiculous. We have one running for sheriff here locally and recently someone posted online that's he's been charged with like 4 counts of assault over the years That's besides the point though. My point is I don't think one occupation should get so much praise when others do just as much. What about waitresses? How about the construction crews in the 100 degree heat everyday building the roads?

I don't think they do. A lot of people hate and don't respect the police. Soldiers get much more praise then police.

Well most cops are lying pieces of shit. Buddy of mine and I were sitting in his car in the park and just got there, and this cop pulls up saying he's driving in and out 5 or 6 times and we were sitting there. Total bs. He wanted to search our car.

Yeah, I saw a video on YouTube where CA Fish & Game stopped a guy fishing, and asked for his fishing license and he said it's in his backpack, and even told him in which pocket and the officer started opening all the pockets. He had no right to go through his bag for a routine license check. Then he asked for his YouTube channel, not because he's interested in his content, but because he was hoping to catch him doing something illegal.

Another fish and game guy from a TV show gave someone a ticket for parking under a bridge, which wasn't illegal.

Yeah, I've seen officers make their own conclusions without considering all the possibilities

And once at Toronto Airport an officer told me I was in a restricted area when it was a regular walkway between gates and there was no sign saying it's "restricted"

Some people I know were harnessed by police and got their house searched for alcohol without a warrant.

I agree. I'm starting to dislike law enforcement. Law enforcement in general are just awful people. And me and my friends are White, so the notion that cops racially profile is a load of bullshit. They abuse their power with everyone

Cause they deal with the worst crap the people have to offer! Usually it's not criminals just the worst families fighting when they both are terrible people
