While Trump is not behind Project 2025 - he's too stupid to appreciate what's in it, let alone come up with it - it was created by a lot of conservatives who worked within the Trump administration. Like Putin, they are intelligent enough to want to get Trump in office because he can be manipulated to do what they want.

Why is the left against what is in Project 2025? If you read the document, you might understand.

Don't get me wrong - there are some good ideas in there - but there are plenty of ideas that most people would not like and if you like personal freedom, Project 2025 is not for you.

What that means is that students at schools that don't receive federal funding are exempt... What schools are those? These are basically private schools paid for by rich and connected parents - the kind of well-to-do, well-connected people who work in government and create documents like Project 2025.

So, once again, the wealthy are happy to send YOUR kids to war but keep theirs out of it. Just like Trump's family did for him. After all, Trump got out of serving in Vietnam because a foot doctor wrote up that Trump had "heel spurs" which would disqualify Trump from serving. Why did the doctor do that? He did it as a favor to his landlord, Fred Trump, Donald's father, who owned the building in which the doctor rented space for his practice.

See how that works? They bullshit you saying they are for you, but they are actually for themselves and don't give a shit about you.

No, that's true; Trump had little to do with it. BUT, if Trump is elected, it is much more likely to have parts of it enacted into legislation. That's why many people are against it; it's not against Trump, per se, but that electing him means "electing" Project 2025.

You are thinking too much about Trump and not thinking about conservatives.

It's the conservatives who are at issue here. Since Trump is running under the GOP as a "conservative", he is the person they prefer to be President since that will facilitate the objectives outlined in Project 2025. Since President's sign bills into laws, the way to prevent Project 2025 bills from becoming laws is to not have a conservative President.

So, you see, this is about not wanting Project 2025 enacted and so not wanting a conservative as President. Since Trump is the conservative nominee, he's the target. If it wasn't Trump but, say, Vance or Josh Hawley or whoever, it wouldn't matter. They are all conservatives and (even more than Trump) would likely try to put much of Project 2025 into law.

It also makes me realize the following of the Constitution is a big part of myself. I have the Constitution next to me right now. I read it when I wake up each morning. It's like a little booklet that's about as thick as 1/8th of my thumb... not a huge read, but probably more reading than the average bear.

Why do I find it so hard to accept, that they didn't steal the election in 2020... for me it's obvious. They used COVID to push for mail in voting... Trump was winning by a landslide and then the mail in votes came in. A lot of people were saying "hey, are these votes legit? It's more people than exist in the United States!" But the courts would not even allow that argument to happen. It's a fair argument in good faith... Just not allowed though. Funny that. That's why it's so hard for me. If it was indeed fair and square, I don't have a personal issue with it. But why did our legal system just not look into it and in fact, blocked people from looking into it? <--That, deeply troubles me about democracy.

I must admit i hate politics. I think no side is better and in fact in general they have a plan and that plans gonna go forward no matter who is put as the figurehead. In fact reason they prob want Trump out is because they can't cover this fact up with him so easily as he is maybe not so intelligent but in his way more authentic for it...

I would like to add that I'm feeling the same way. This is the same way I was feeling in 2016. I was watching all the lies and the propaganda and I believed Hilary had it in the bag, and it was just going to be more feminism and love the minorities bullshit ahead.
