Would you support government funded vas deferens blocker procedures for males past the age of consent wherever you live?

Kind of like how BC is available for free to most females. For females it's regardless of AoC, but procedures are more intrusive than meds, so I would never even suggest it for males that can't legally consent. I know it's not yet approved for the US, but it should be soon. How would you feel about this?

I forgot to mention that the procedure is fully reversible. And fairly easily too. Basically the material is just flushed out.

UK has long had this option. You can consider it a cost saving if it delivers less unwanted babies that the government may then need to support for 20 years.
Whether we should be trying to reduce baby output is another debate I suppose.
Regardless, it's not always reversible but if you've had kids and are sure you want no more, it's a good option.

Oh this is new info to me. I didn't even know it was available in the UK. And if the NHS provides it, that's pretty smart because it probably reduces welfare dependents, like you pointed out. But this was really the point of my post. If an initiative reduces gov dependent numbers, then it should be palatable to both sides of the political spectrum. However, I have heard certain feminist ideology being opposed to male birth control, so I can see a pushback from both sides, really. The money side from the right, obviously.

My estimation is that activists and their religions claim a loose grasp of facts and are too narrow focus to be a credible source of information.
And in this case, I would say 'my body, my choice' applies without a hint of irony.

Almost forgot to actually respond to this. Anyways, what if the evidence shows that programs like this reduce gov spending by reducing the amount of people on welfare and in prisons? Would that change your perspective, or are you fixed from a matter of principle.

Birth control just isn't healthy or normal. It messes with womens fertility/hormones and can cause long term issues like cancer. Many doctors also force birth control on women instead of acutally looking into their issues to help them. They think it's some type of fix all solution when it just hides the issues.

Almost everything has risks. The only birth control I can maybe get behind are condoms since those have much less risks than something hormonal or something random being placed into the body

It's the opposite. You start at an age you can't consent, then, when you get to it, you can decide on what procedures you want. It's just the wording of it. I guess we can say "within the age of consent" but no one really talks that way.
