What is your reaction to this map of USA GDP? What are the political, social & economic ramifications of this map? Is this healthy? Is it inevitable?

It’s important, even. Plenty of folks get upset about East Coast or West Coast, but don’t seem to understand why. Not denigrating anyone, but yeah, they kind of are more important, because numbers are important.

the economy is tech and where the govt dropps the $. everything else is maintenance. Hard to believe Ohio... industrial production belt does't show up.

There's more gdp on one financial office than acres of rural land. The same holds true in any country.

This is highlighting cities, the regional economic, and population hubs with the most density of activity. It's being compared to it's immediate rural areas. This this supposed to surprise me?

Most people live in big cities... It's not inevitable necessarily but it's very common especially when you factor in the types of industries most people work in.

There are whole sections of America that have gone downhill because there are only a few industries left and they are on the bubble. Nobody sees anything wrong with shipping all good paying factory jobs overseas.
