I think looking at our recruitment numbers it may be something we in the US have to start again. The recruitment incentives being offered are absolutely insane now, and the targets still aren't being hit.

It might get to a point where my old ass can get back in with my RE4. If selective service was reactivated, that would be gone in an instant. Loss of quality would be a problem to worry about with NCOs and Staff NCOs when contracts go to re-up.

When I was in everyone talked about diminishing quality from video games, and any time I've looked over the training schedule for boot camp after that it looked easier than before. Well, with the exception of when pushups were added to the PFT, and females had to start doing chin-ups instead of the bar hold. Ballsy move when every other branch was constantly softening up.

South Korea to defend against north Korea. North Korea because the supreme leader wants an army. China to fight over the south china sea. Israel to defend itself as they get invaded by genocidal forces that want them all dead every 15 ish years or so. Ukraine to defend against the Russian invasion, Russia to invade Ukraine.
