You have to draw a number and that decides whether you have to do military service or not. Most people draw a free number though.

My first boyfriend was too skinny to attend though, so he got rejected.

We have a lot of people who join by their own accord.

Yes :) You can avoid it if you really want to but you have to pay or do another kind of service to make up for it.
