Does school start at 7 a. m. in America?

We stared at 7:30-7:40 when I was in high school. First class started at 8:00.

That's a short time in "home room" and 10 minutes to get to the first class. We had six periods of 50 minutes, with ten minutes between classes. Plus a half hour lunch. Taking classes each of the six periods was not usually necessary. The extra period was usually for "study hall" or for optional classes. School was over at 2:30PM.

After school activities started then. Most clubs started directly after school. Sports had to share the gym and fields, so they started in 2 hour increments until about 8:00PM and ending at 10:00-11:00PM or later.

Not all schools in the district started at the same time. We had a fleet of busses that were used for a total of 9 schools. The start times were intentionally offset so the busses could run multiple routes to the various schools.

Some schools did start at 7:00 or earlier. My senior year a natural disaster wiped out a nearby high school. So we shared our school, going in two shifts. We started at 6:00AM. The other school started at 2:00PM.

Most public-school districts stagger the start times of the different age ranges, high school, middle school, and elementary to accommodate the limited number of buses that are available.
The buses go around transporting the first age range, usually middle-schoolers, I believe, then immediately switch to transporting the high schoolers, then on to the elementary school kids.

From what I can recall, the start times range from about 7AM to 9AM.

Can't remember for sure, but I believe the normal starting time for high school was 8 AM. But that only allowed us time for one elective and I needed to take 2 all my high school years, so there was one class that started an hour earlier, at 7. Add to that there were no school busses, so I had to rely on public busses which took their normal routes with many stops. Standing out in the cold rain, in the dark, in the winter, was miserable.

I don't remember. It's been YEARS since I was in school, but it definitely wasn't that early. Some college courses started at 7:15. But as far as I remember, public schools started around between 8 and 9

Nice, 9am should be the time that all school start around the world. By the way does middle school exist in India because I know in many countries outside the U. S there’s no middle school?
