Why does it seem like many people on this website dislike it when questions about the country Turkey are posted?

You have to remember that 90% of people here are Americans andhave no idea where Turkey is or know next to nothing about it.

Then all Turkey questions revolve around, what do you know about Turkey, do you know Turkey, or stuff about a minor empire that's long gone and was of little global significance.

All anyone here in the UK can tell you about Turkey is people go there for cheap dental or plastic surgery and usually regret it. Or that every Turk in Britain either works as a barber or sells pizza.

I have been to Turkey and enjoyed it (even though some kids pickpocketed my phone). I think your government tried to cheat the US when it demanded passage fees of $250,000 per US soldier when the war with Iraq over Kuwait in the early 1990s took place. The US had to make other plans as it was an outrageous amount especially from an Allie. This is unforgivable. Then the nonsense with NATO and Sweden. Underneath the issues I suspect it was yet again about blackmail and getting money.

Bit I enjoyed the food, most of the people, the sites etc. it was nice but it is also off the beaten path for most travelers. That may change though.

Many people in the world though do not know much about Turkey so questions on here fall on deaf ears at best. It would be like asking you what you think of Montana even though Turkey has far more people.

Because Turks have been spamming the internet for years with all their questions about Turkey, because they're looking to prove they never committed a genocide against the Armenians. It's not just on GaG, they've been doing this on other forums for as far back as I can remember. It's like they literally spend their time looking for questions or answers about Armenia so they can jump in on it.

Because they are asked constantly and I would say 9/10 times it is "What do you think of Turkey?". Y'all are pretty insecure how the world views you and posting about it obsessively doesn't help.

Because no other humans from any other country tend to ask as much as Turkish people ask the same question its like u guys are programmed into thinking that others specifically about you when most simply don't

Because they're so fucking common, and are usually bragging or asking if other turks are here. It's annoying.

I don't minde Turkey, Turkey is 1 country away from me and i also visited and i want to come back and visit even Istambul in a future

Because the questions are posted so often for starters. Secondly it's because clearly people think it's trash
