I know I'm missing a few, sometimes the list is so long that it's hard to keep track of and your eyes glaze over. Certainly most of the Caribbean nations, Chile, and several others in Africa as well.

No. After WWII, the U. S. took over all the previous empires except for the (now defunct) Soviet Union. Like all empires, its economy depends on trade with, as well as the natural and human resources of, tractable countries. And there is the U. S. petro dollar to consider.
The U. S. does not respect human rights or Democracy. It only cares about "stakeholder" capitalism. That's why it overthrows democratically elected governments that support modest socialist reforms intended to benefit their citizens. Venezuela is just one recent example.
The Dr. Strangelove psychopaths in charge of U. S. foreign policy are determined to make the world subservient. Like Israel, they will steal by any necessary means. Read Confessions of an Economic Hitman by John Perkins.
The other thing is, the interests of multinational institutions govern U. S. policy. There are the World Bank and IMF, the WEF, the Council on Foreign Relations, the military-industrial complex, Blackrock and Goldman Sachs, Israel and the Zionist lobby, and powerful industries, to name a few. They use the U. S. to expand their monopolies over the worlds population as well as natural resources including land, water, minerals, food, energy, communication, etc.
They disdain common people and only care about profit. They want total control and will sacrifice billions of humans in order to get it.
At this point, the U. S. is their muscle.
Interestingly, they are not loyal to the U. S. They use other powerful countries, particularly China, to further their ends. In fact, they see China as a socioeconomic model for the U. S. and the rest of the world in their plans for the Great Reset/One World Government/New World Order.
The only way out of it is for the people of the world to resist/refuse to comply. But, unfortunately, governments and media monopoly make it very difficult for people to understand what is happening.

Oh, certainly, but it doesn't mean the US didn't desire the outcome. There's a reason this pattern has repeated in such a long list of countries, though.
This pattern happens for a very obvious and simple reason. People from countries with authoritarian regimes have very few and small western connections (black market, friends, family, rumours), this over time erodes authoritarian systems due to the desire for change and a better life. The one and only difference between what the victims of oppressive regimes WANT, is that they want to get through a revolution everything they didn't have and could have had in all their suffering. An imaginary example would be, if North Korea were to break free from the dictatorship and become democratic, all those people in 1-5 years would expect to transform into South Korea (to arrive through their work from $2 per month to $2000 per month salary and very low prices for the products they have and those they would import. At least that was the real expectation of >Romania< which suffered a communist system IDENTICAL to the one in North Korea.
I've said it and I'll keep saying it, where the USA was left to do its job and complete its projects, today there is prosperity in the world. And even where it was not allowed to finish its projects (Vietnam and Afghanistan), those nations continue to claim that the small achievements of the USA are above the level of those countries: - shops - education - roads - rights In all Western-style countries there is prosperity (more or less), but in oppressive countries NOT That is why the world revolts, that is why wars occur. The population "WE WANT TO LIVE WELL LIKE THEM!" Dictators "YOU ARE MINE AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME AND MY COLLABORATORS LIVE WELL".
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND FOR YOU WESTERN. You believe in manipulations and conspiracy theories, but things are happening right in front of your eyes. You want a big picture in one piece, clear, simple and easy to understand (there's always something going on above ordinary people). But those who lead us are also ordinary people. Everything is a puzzle with many pieces, BUT THE IMAGE OF WHAT SHOULD BE REALIZED IN ANY COUNTRY IS KNOWN.
And once the world gets to complete that image more and more, it refuses to finish it because of the hard work and the result obtained >an abomination<.

If this is all true, then tell me why a majority of the world is lining up to join BRICS. They're doing it because they are sick and tired of the way the US sanctions and manipulates and overthrows anybody who disagrees with them. They are building walls to keep the US out.
1. The BRICS community bloc is a dysfunctional bloc where economic control is TOTALLY owned by communist China. This makes an economic-military collaboration between countries like Russia and India along with China ineffective. Thus, this alliance does not present guarantees of economic and military security at the central level. 2. The countries that joined the BRICS bloc are authoritarian, oligarchic and even military regimes. The leaders of these states cling to power and refuse to offer an honest and democratic electoral process. One such example is Egypt. All these regimes go towards BRICS due to the fact that they do not require an honest justice and that those leaders can stay in power depending on their own grievances. Compared to the USA and the EU, where a country can democratically transform itself into a dictatorship if it wants to and vice versa. 3. The BRICS community block is also ineffective and problematic due to the precarious and unequal economies of the member countries + the geography that this alliance has, not having an infrastructure to ensure economic prosperity for this alliance. Go from the Chinese highways to the dusty and overcrowded roads of India, then to South Africa, which unfortunately has an economy below the level of Brazil and Russia. 4. All these dysfunctional countries that are in BRICS do not want to have any obligation towards anyone in order to democratize and force themselves to implement changes at the level of infrastructure, justice, society. In the EU and USA there are penalties if you do not finish a project on time or if you abandon it after it has been approved. Brazil contests these measures, not having a desire to change radically in the near future, but rather "we'll see if we can and later, now we're going like this..."
So it sounds like your argument is most countries on earth are authoritarian and deserve to be overthrown. You'd fit right in at the US State Department.
Because you've got to keep in mind BRICS has an enormous list waiting to join. So much they have had to turn many away for a while and have had to emphasize they aren't ready for that much expansion just yet. These countries are looking for a way to insulate themselves from the way the US sanctions everyone in sight, or outright overthrows them.
I think it's quite a bit of a stretch to claim that ALL of these countries are authoritarian despotic regimes. Maybe a few are, but the vast majority are just like every other country. They're tired of being bullied.
Back to Romania though, the US and CIA were absolutely involved. I can agree that with Ceaucescu it was for the good, but there's no doubt that Iliescu was the guy the CIA wanted promoted. They had their eye on him as the one to promote as early as '85.
All countries outside the USA, Canada, EU, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Singapore are facing excessive corruption and cannot be called countries like any other. In Brazil you can be robbed and killed just for some pocket money in the favelas if you don't even know how to speak Portuguese. Other countries were too unstable to be accepted even in a dysfunctional alliance. If we filter all the systems of those countries and discuss them for days, you will notice the gigantic corruption in those countries.
And regarding Iliescu, I don't know what you've been smoking, but it's clear that you're looking in the opposite direction of reality. Iliescu completed his studies in the USSR in Moscow and is married to Nina, who is Russian. This profile was an elite one for communist Romania, being exactly what the PCR was looking for. People fully educated in the most elite schools (those in the USSR) and who also have relations or relatives, husbands and/or wives in the USSR (RSSR - Russian Soviet Socialist Republic >from the USSR<).
Also, nothing happens without the knowledge of dictator Ceausescu, he knew very well Iliescu's past and was aware that he was following a leadership position, maybe even that of a dictator. But to say that Iliescu is the man of the Americans is already shit in the eyes. The influences of external origin on the Romanian revolution were those present of some people of different origins who seem from the video images and from the statements of some revolutionaries to have been part of the "security" or employed by them with the aim of shooting the revolutionaries and creating confusion about who are the real criminals who ordered those massacres. (Everyone knows that it is Iliescu and all the former members of the communist party who remained in positions of power and those who are not completely known to the public but at the age of 60 and 80 still hold lucrative public positions + special pensions combined with salary) > these revenues reaching over +20,000 EURO per MONTH. The US implications ended up being executed only during the fall of Yugoslavia through "blackmail" (a much too harsh word on my part) through which Romania's accession to NATO was negotiated (2004). Romania having friendly historical relations with Serbia and being put in a position to collaborate and help its enemy the USA to bomb it, at the same time Romania was sending humanitarian aid, weapons, ammunition and violating the American embargo on Serbia for gasoline.
No. Destabilization is cheapest way to expand zone on influence. Of course destabilizing a rich and prosperous country/nation is impossible, but it works in ethnically, socially or religiously divided country and in countries where majority is against their government. Nevertheless, don't believe only US tries to destabilize others, China and Russia do it without any remorse either. See Chechnya, Ossetia, Azerbaijan, Kongo, Chad...
What you're talking about are people fighting for their freedom from authoritarian regimes. They see democracies around the world and want to be like them.
Quite apart from anything else how is "Imposing emergency rule" possible without being in charge of the country?
Companies fund political parties and then political parties buy products from these companies with huge amounts of money. I am glad that my country stays away from this war-mongering flawed democracy.
