It's a Japanese guy that started a business in 2018 as a literally do nothing man, you rent him and he just give you company with simple basic responses and walks around with you or does errands with you or follows you wherever you want, he is just basic company but according to the stats in Japan thirty something percent of people are lonely and from what they call it, they call it a epidemic of loneliness, which I guess explains this man's success rate of 80k a year, he claims to do it cause its fun lol

Been there, done that, and I can honestly say while I may stop for awhile, I don't change all that much, though I may be a bit more pragmatic for wear these days.

Honestly I like to look at life through the butterfly effect and doing it that way can show all the bad is worth it for the life I have now, even if I don't have everything I want right now. But it's interesting in the philosophical sense

Cause if so then it's not really a change just a long lasting effect and result of your experience which depending on it can sometimes be traumatic in ways that it might create some form of changes until it wears off (some can be permanent)

You have a positive way of seeing life, that's a good thing, not many people have the ability to remain positive, they might feel some forms of positive but seeing negative things can change them completely where they don't see the world so colorful.

I look more at it as each event good or bad has a knock on effect on other events, and if the first event didn't happen then the others probably wouldn't either, or maybe not in the same way as I originally hoped. All the doors in my past are already closed, whatever has happened has happened. So I can only look at the current doors in front of me, and while I have spent time reminiscing and the what ifs, it's always better to keep walking forward to make the change you want to happen (though I haven't quite gotten the courage to try driving again yet lol).

I know if I made even the slightest change in my life then my current path in life wouldn't exist, obviously I'd still be me, but I'd be a different me. One example I have is a change of roommates - a week after accepting roommates with someone at uni, someone else asked me to move in with her. That one change would have affected my job, my home, my experiences and probably my relationship status. But at the same time I'm not unhappy with where I am now I just need to work towards the rest of what I want.

And well, I already hit my rock bottom, and as the saying goes you can only go up from there.

That's quite the perspective, very interesting, so deep question missy, have you ever wondered if things wouldve been different if you would've been a different version of yourself? And If so, would you assume you would've been better or worse?

I agree tho, you've made the best choice for your mentality with the cards you were dealt with, you don't receive anything by stressing and living in regret even tho regret can be good for you depending on situations, you can definitely learn from it but regret shouldn't be a part of the everyday life if you've made the best changes for yourself already, or learned things, you've got a good and healthy mentality on it.

Honestly I could say yes and no to that. See I'm generally a quiet gal, keeps to herself and tries to evaluate things around her to make connections with the people around me. Until I know people, I try to keep a very neutral expression and emotional response.

But all that is due to my upbringing, one is the neglect one example: my dad said that many times he'll come home from his 12 hour shift find my nappy hanging by my ankles, my clothes soaked, blanket and duvet soaked yet I'd be quiet as a mouse and happy to see him. But that's due to no point in crying cause no one will come anyway, no point in asking for help as no one will come. So growing up I often ignored and looked past anything bad happening the same with the years of bullying, essentially you could say I was groomed into a doormat. That also led to being a people pleaser, and not being able to say no even if I want to, it took me ages to realise you don't need an excuse to say no, that you can just say no.

So I honestly can't see how I could be different. But I have thought about what if I was outspoken, and simply spoke my mind. There's been many times I've thought, I don't really want to do this, but then did it anyway and for a time hated myself. And the consequences I can see from being outspoken, may have been a couple of extra fights, some broken friendships (which would be better than drawn out ones as I had)... Honestly I'm finding it hard to find more negatives, if I simply said what I was thinking more often, more of my problems would be solved.

Well I've already spent a few years in regret, I can't keep doing it to myself, so have been trying to get back to my true self and I am a bit more outspoken these days, so I do occasionally say no lol

Sounds like you've had a harsh childhood, I'm glad you've managed to get out of all that, you've actually kept a good attitude and personality after going through so much, I respect it, it surely sounds like an uphill motion from here.

Nappy is another word for diaper, and when they get filled with pee they can become like shopping bags with too much weight in them so they can become thin and tight around a baby's waist. But nah I wasn't chained only locked in a room or cupboard for hours on end, tbh I'm kinda thankful I'm not in the us I can only imagine how much time I would have spent in a basement.

But yeah whether I like it or hate it, it's made me who I am, dad gained custody of me at 8 and not much fazes me anymore. Hell I love watching horrors, and have even found some of them more hilarious than comedies.
