Don't even have to address their current rhetoric- Harris and Waltz are both non-starters for me just from their respective records alone, and represent a party doing the complete opposite of what it should be doing if it actually gave a damn about the country.

I have some issues with Trump and to a lesser extent Vance, but it's not an even remotely close comparison.

The two main things with Trump are that he surrounds himself with people who aren't on the same page and end up stabbing him in the back, and his personal views (not policy) that abortions should be legal for the first 14-15 weeks is a illogical fence-sitting stance that isn't based on anything other than what European countries have. He seems to be doing a much better job with the former problem since the primaries ended, and the latter doesn't really matter as much either since it is now a state issue.

As to the first point, I think it's critical to recognize that unlike everyone else that has been in the race every time he has run, he is not a career politician.

His presidency was clearly sabotaged intentionally by planting operatives from various government agencies in it to damage him (sabotage by both parties I might add because they did not want an outsider to see what was going on in Washington). He wasn't in politics and didn't know just how dirty and corrupt it was. I have seen him comment on that several times over the years. A lot of people made it onto his staff that shouldn't have.

The reason he's doing much better now is because he learned his lesson. It's something so diabolical and corrupt that he could not foresee it. But now he not only knows who not to hire but where the corruption is hiding. So he is in a better position than anyone to root it out and get rid of it in his second term. And I have no doubt that is part of his intended agenda.

As to the abortion point, I won't address that because this is all controversial stuff and depends on your point of view. I can neither agree nor disagree with you on that.

But in the end I think we come to the same point. And that point is that it's the bottom line that counts. When you compare president Trump and his policies and accomplishments to those of Harris and Biden in their administration there is no remaining question about which is the superior candidate to lead the free world.

And the bottom line is what counts.

Interesting that you picked that timeframe as to when US reached a turning point. I had returned to college at that time. I went to one of the top universities in the world and one of the courses I took was from a "redound" Harvard American history professor.

Long story short I was in shock. What was he teaching the kids? That America is an evil country that was filled with slavery and murdering Indians. I could not believe what I was hearing. Nothing about how America has liberated more people FROM slavery, poverty, tyranny and disease than all the other nations in history combined. Not that America is the most charitable, most opportunity creating nation in history that has created more prosperity and freedom for more people than anyplace on earth. Not that America was where slavery came TO DIE after being practiced in Africa and the Middle East for thousands of years. No, only about how evil America was.

It was in that class the I realized that something terrible was going to happen to this country because we have been creating generations of American kids who are receiving an anti-American indoctrination instead of the pro-American EDUCATION based on factual history. I knew that we would be in trouble some day down the road. And here we are. Half the country now hates the place that gave them everything they have.
