Since there are so many issues around the whole practice of voting, would you prefer to just have the Supreme Court appoint the next President, much like they did in Bush v. Gore?

That's a absolutely horrible idea and we don't need to do this if we have same day voting and require people to bring IDs. No late night water pipes bursting either, polling stations should have no exceptions for closing unless they are under active gunfire or the like.

There is not going to be any same day voting or any requirements for voter ID despite your insistence that these things are necessary. However, Trump has a fairly decent chance of losing this time around, so I thought maybe the maga people here such as yourself would just like to have him appointed because that's what you're trying to do. Anyway.. you don't care about the voting you care about the outcome and you will whine and complain if Trump doesn't win. So this is the way of making sure that he becomes president. That is really what you want.

The elections that we have now without voter ID are legitimate. I don't really care if you think that voter ID is important or not. The data indicates that it isn't. The only reason you wanted is so you can inconvenience people to the point that they can't or won't vote because you believe that the fewer people that vote the more likely Republican candidates will win. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I'm not interested in catering to your superstitions.

Great question... I have no Earthly idea. I like Democracy. I like people being able to express their opinions. That said, there are a lot of stupid people out there and we don't basically seem to be able to handle the responsibility of governing ourselves.

No, that is a terrible idea. Even if they appoint trump due to the supreme court balance thats not a clean victory people can just accept. It has to be done trough a fair and believable election.
