This isn’t political spin, this is simply conventional economic wisdom and principles at play.

Trump on the other hand has no plan, just some vague promise of tariffs, which he clearly doesn’t understand either, as those are inflationary for AMERICA, not the country they’re imposed on. You can hope to stimulate domestic procurement instead of importing, and that’s fine, but if that doesn’t happen, or needs time to develop in terms of domestic production, you’re just causing higher costs to American businesses that will be inevitably passed onto the customer.
