It's not an accusation. It's a fact. Just look back what she said and what she says now. The entire person is fake with her entire campaign. Bernie Sanders even said it that Kamala's far left radical values haven't changed, she just says whatever she needs to say to get elected.

First of all, a presidential campaign is not a one-man show. It is basically running to be the representative of your political party and the head of the executive branch which includes a lot of people.

As such the values of the president is split between their party. The stronger the president (AKA how much votes they can get on their own personal efforts) the less they need to compromise with their party (AKA the less help they need and by extension how much they need to conform to the parties values).

Harris is not a "strong" famous personality and she was thrust into the race halfway through. As such she is heavily relying on the party for support which means she needs to share the throne with them to some degree. Her platform can't just reflect her personal beliefs as a result unlike when she was just running as a normal politician.

In other words, you would expect a presidential campaign to have a different platform to a senate platform or a house platform etc..

Furthermore, a president has very different powers from other political positions which means the president can't actually have things like an economic platform like normal since that is entirely dependent on what congress will do since they change laws and changes the budget AKA does everything actually important.

The president needs the cooperation of the house and senate as such and therefore their presidential platform needs to reflect what the house and senate agrees to do. If Harris is a radical leftist and the house and senate will not cooperate with her then that is a waste of time and she needs to come up with a new platform.

Harris presidential platform is not "Fake" or whatever you want to accuse her of. It is just that you have a much simpler view of reality than how things actually works.

I know it's not a one man show, and I know that Harris is the definition of a puppet. I also know that she was destroyed in both the 2019 and 2023 Democratic primaries and didn't get a single vote. I know she just got a free ticket to run for president because Biden dropped out, and this is the opposite of democracy. Harris is not a puppet and its normal for future candidates for president to have previous failed runs. Generally speaking its a long process to become president and the reason she ran back in 2020 is because that builds her brand which in turn paid off when she became VP which in turn was a stepping stone for becoming the next president.
