I cut ties with my father and changed my name when I was young because he used to beat the living shit out of me and my sisters as kids.. What does a 6 year old do to deserve been dragged about by the hair by a grown man?
Hope that clears it up.. I'd disown any family member who hurt or abused women

depends on the context of the situation
if he's proven guilty without a shadow of doubt and without remorse while trying to cover it up, then yes
if he's assumed guilty by legal peer pressure due to miscommunication while on her part regretting consensual sex that happened years ago and she's feeling vindictive, then no

If I had a father who was a rapist and there is 100% proof he's raped people, yes I would cut ties. If there wasn't enough proof he's a rapist, then I wouldn't cut ties. It's very easy to falsely accuse men of rape, and the woman doesn't need much proof to prove she was raped while a man can have tons of evidence he didn't commit rape, yet can still be labeled a rapist. Yes I would. 0 hesitation if my father was guilty of that crime, he'd be dead to me but it's so out of his character I admittedly wouldn't believe any initial allegations.
