Did you know that a feature of Microsoft Word corrects phrases for not being “inclusive.”?

For example, if someone writes the phrase "maternity leave", they receive a message that says “This term may not be inclusive of all genders, (emphasis mine)” and suggests alternative phrases like “birth-related leave,” “parental leave,” or “childbirth leave.” When users write “paternity leave,” Word suggests “child-bonding leave.”

The woke feature was rolled out in 2019 and is installed on all Microsoft applications, but users were recently taken aback by the feature’s attempt to police the words “maternity” and “paternity.”

“This is a particularly insidious form of language policing, reminiscent of 1984,” Free Speech Union Director Toby Young told The Telegraph. “It's as though there's a censor in your computer scolding you for departing from politically correct orthodoxy.”

Microsoft is known for trying to force its users to embrace woke ideologies.

Do you support the elimination of words that refer to boys, girls, men, women, husbands, wives and mothers?

It is suggested that
- Everyone or all: Can be used instead of "men and women"
- Distinguished guests or folks: Can be used instead of "ladies and gentlemen"
- People, citizens, guests, friends, etc. Can be used to replace gendered terms like "men and women"
- They: Can be used instead of "he" or "she" when referring to a single person
- Ze, zim, zir, zirself: Can be used as gender-neutral pronouns.

"Birthing person" instead of mother? As if anyone but a woman can get pregnant and give birth.

"Menstruator" instead of woman? Give me a break.

Why should the world cater to a few so-called trans-genders. After all, trans-genders want to be the opposite sex, so they are still either men or women in their minds. Why would they be upset by gendered words?

It's not forcing anyone to change their language, it's just offering alternatives in case u want them or didn't think about it.

I for one appreciate alternate terms for things like this because they apply to people I know including myself. I wouldn't describe women as menstruators I would just say women obviously, but I would describe men who menstrate that way, and if I'm talking about periods in general I'd use inclusive language so it's clear I'm talking about everyone who menstruates not just/all women. Same as shit like pregnancy and the rest. I can't get pregnant so I appreciate not being automatically included in every discussion about pregnancy just because some people think it's cool to pretend all women can get pregnant.

It's not replacing woman or man language, it's offering an alternative for when you're referring to a mix of both so you can be more accurate & include everyone you're actually talking about, and not who you're not talking about.
