I'm from the UK. I had a brother and uncle who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

There's many who in the UK that feel that we got dragged into the war in Iraq based on a lie. There are also many that feek that Biden orchestrated the Ukraine war. In both cases it's costing the UK taxpayers. I do think the US not having a National Health insurance system and a National Health Service is crazy because at the end of the day Americans are paying private hospitals and private insurance companies huge sums of money. Like I had a baby recently, it was insane what the hospital charged where if it was the UK I wouldn't have gotten a bill because I would have already paid a reasonable amount with no middle man. But then due to the obesity crisis in America any kind of universal health care is unaffordable. It can only work if people keep themselves reasonably healthy.

Umm... US is not solving Ukraine's problem, it's making it last longer by funding it. Wars are very profitable and you make weapons. US makes more money off this war than it is sending. And your point about the majority of NATO countries not meeting their spending obligations on defense is well taken. It's been a problem for a long time and most American leaders --- with one notable exception --- have acquiesced to the deadbeats. It's long past time for Europe as a whole to take responsibility for their own defense, including whatever they might choose to do about Ukraine.
