Yes, I'm very proud of my country about this. The left uses a tactic of bullying and then objecting if you push back calling you the bully. I myself am not afraid to push back, but many people are. I was proud of my country men & woman last year for refusing to be name called into passing a very woke referendum. Convincingly voted down. Much the same result of the left gnashing their teeth.

I saw a liberal US girl listing countries she could flee to post election. Australia was on her list but she is not going to like how we manage illegal immigration. She'd be best off not upsetting herself further really. We have a Remain In Nauru policy. As soon as an illegal steps foot on a beach they win a free holiday there.

I think we have a good start but the US election results will help enormously. The current gov't will at least go into minority gov't but with the US election result I am hoping for a complete flip. Once again I will say Thank You America!

The left here has been saying that they will leave the country if their candidate doesn't win after every election in the last decade or two. But of course they never do (unfortunately).

They don't really need to go very far. Canada is right next door and has gone so far left that they would be a perfect fit for them. It has traditionally been where Americans flee to when they want to escape what they perceive as repressive. Many American men moved there during the Vietnam War to avoid the draft. But as soon as the war ended they all came back!

Wish we had a Nauru here... But we do have Mexico... and no doubt President Trump will restore the remain in Mexico policy that was so successful in reducing the illegal immigration during his first term. It is a big issue here because there is no place in the world where more people are trying to get into than the USA. And we simply CANNOT take care of the fleeing population of the entire planet. It is destroying our culture, our pocketbooks, our quality of life and the American dream. A failed America is not humane for anyone.

NO COUNTRY can afford the open borders the global Left wants. They might not be willing to say it out loud but open borders is what they do want. Our Left go to every election saying they will be tough on borders but actually encourage illegals.

We also had to excise the whole of Australia from our immigration zone to keep liberal lawyers away from them before we whisk them off onto their Nauruan adventure.

It is all very well being very sympathetic but the only way to discourage illegal immigrants is to ensure they do not get what they want.

Giving amnesty is a way of papering over the situation but it immediately means you have allowed some people to queue jump over those who are going through the legitimate path. That is highly unfair and queue jumping was the causal aspect that turned Australians against them more than anything.

It takes very little time for negative effects on the recipient population. We are geared up for 200,000 immigrants per annum. Sudden increases means housing shortages immediately and increased rents. Various services get overwhelmed. Gov't budgets get eaten up by illegal immigrants. I think the US is experiencing this from what have read and is importing poverty.

I feel most sorry for the Irish people of all with their small population and being forced out of their housing by their pro immigrant multi cultural gov't.

I must say I find it funny that, that hot bed of neo nazism that is the Swedish Social Democrat party is deporting immigrants now. Denmark is looking at what they call the Australian solution. So is England.

It just comes down to not letting illegal immigrants win. It costs money to not let them win. A lot of them would find it an acceptable trade to be in remand for five years if they eventually get what they want.

Family reunion has to be taken off the table. I'm pretty sure I know what you'd think of a family that would send across an unaccompanied minor girl across a border or boy for that matter. Family reunion policies cause this because the unaccompanied minor becomes an adult and citizen and then can then sponsor. So it is rewarding families to sacrifice a child.

Once we have a change of gov't illegal immigrants test the resolve of the gov't. If it is firm they shut down, if not the flood gates open. So it is never quite done and dusted but is highly repeatable in terms of shutting down.

Indonesia is our Mexico by the way because there are lots of worm eaten boats that have a sporting chance of making one 90 mile voyage. If you are Muslim you have automatic right of entry to Indonesia.

Regarding your first comment. There are many parallels between the effects of immigration you are describing there and what is happening here including the increase housing costs which are making homes unaffordable for Americans. It's a huge problem and most people don't even recognize the cause because they don't know enough about the economics of it.

But imagine the magnitude of it here over the past 4 years under the current president... 25 MILLION illegal immigrants. That is three times as large as our largest city. It is incomprehensible. The game is... encourage illegal immigration under the guise of "compassion," ply them with free stuff paid for by the taxpayers, then give them amnesty and voting rights to cash in on the vote buying. It couldn't be any more obvious but so many people are naive.

It will be extremely difficult to right our ship in 4 years after all the damage the Biden/Harris administration did, but if anyone can do it it would be Donald Trump. He is an extraordinary person. Sometimes genius comes in a strange wrapper. People here need to see past the facade and recognize his extraordinary talent and leadership ability. But unfortunately many cannot muster that discipline.

I think the essence of the ideology of the left is collectivism. You must get in line with the party line or else suffer the consequences of being persecuted. They love black people for example as long as they don't think for themselves and just do what they are told by the party. As soon as any individual black person strays from that they are stabbed in the back by the party.

The essence of the right on the other hand is individualism. There is no requirement to get in line with the party. You are entitled to your own views and opinions and variations on the theme of the party.

In my view that is morally correct. But unfortunately it doesn't work so well in politics. The Democrats marching in lockstep with each other and not allowing any dissension is a powerful force to reckon with.
