For example, let's say fox news and CNN (picking the main one from each side on purpose) are both heavily owned by Company A. Company A also has a massive investment interest in Company B, which is facing legal troubles, corruption, scandals, etc... Fox and CNN both produce news about Company B. Will the news be honest about Company B's wrongdoing, or will they deliberately mislead the masses? What's the solution?

Institutional media isn't perfect, but what are we going to do about it? Listen to independent media like Tim Pool who takes money from the Kremlin and promotes Russian propaganda. Or Joe Rogan who barely does any research and cannot tell what is misinformation. Or someone who only uses dogmas and beliefs for their reasoning?

Yes, Fox and CNN can mistake. The news is not a scholarly journal which is why the news should never be your main source of information it's not well researched they just report stories that come out as soon as possible.

Yes, unfortunately the feds allowed media conglomerates to buy up all the radio and TV stations. Before a company was limited to one AM radio station, one FM radio station and one TV station in each market. This was changed in the 1990s amd there are only a limited number of companies that own most of them/
