If the Pres. has so much influence over food and gas prices, inflation and unemployment, then why are those things significantly lower in some states?

People always blame the President when inflation, prices and unemployment are high, but that's not the case nationwide, because some states are fairing better than others. So isn't it more true that these things are more issues on a STATE level, rather than a national level.
