I watched the debate and i feel like both candidates are just not very good 😅 i dont know much about your past politics.

I voted for Kamala Harris.

Trump is:

A mentally ill narcissist.
A convicted felon and still may serve prison time.
A serial liar and adulter. Cannot be trusted.
Someone who puts himself above the country and world.
A danger to the world at large and America's interests in particular.
A fascist who doesn't believe in the rule of law.
A traitor to the United States.
An inciter of violence and hatred.
A racist bigot.

I could go on and on. I've watched him for 51 years and every NYer knows exactly who he is. I quote my friend:

I voted for Trump despite his lies, morals, and inability to stay off of social media.

- Trump has a vision; it may not be the best of visions in places, but he at least has something.
- He's a fighter; if it wasn't so easy to get under his skin, it'd be more of a positive. Regardless, he can take a punch (or a bullet) and roll with it.
- Lots of his opinions aren't wrong, he's just horrible about presenting them and he doesn't seem to think about the social ramifications.
- Fiscal policy is going to be crap whoever is in office. We are so far down a pit he will be in the grave before we as a country are financially stable again. He MIGHT be able to slow the tailspin, but I don't believe he will able to pull us out of it.
- I have more confidence in him resolving a conflict than Harris.
- You cannot convince me he is in it for the money; he is the only president in modern history who's net value has DECREASED while in office.

The thing that sealed the deal for me was Harris's inability to campaign or seemingly have a plan for anything.
Fiscal Policy? "Yeah, we know it's a problem; but Trump is a bad person and went bankrupt"
Border? "Yeah, we know it's a problem; but Trump is racist and wants to kill all of them"
Ukraine? Israel? "Yeah, we know it's a problem; but Trump would lead us into WW3 as Hitler"
Inflation? "Yeah, we know it's a problem; but we blame Trump for starting it"
You're VP, what will you do different as POTUS? "I won't let Trump in"

Her campaign was 75% "Orange man bad, me not orange man, vote me" and 25% actual content, if that.

I'm not from USA , but a good place to start is the amount of States , that are either Red / Blue , in these states if you wish to be contrary you vote is basically wasted , remember I'm from Australia the entire population is just one USA state , many parts of Europe you'd need multiple countries .

The leaders , well mostly they will be some form of compromise , Donald Trump initially probably shocked even himself , as he was written off my many , in the case of Harris she would never have made it to this position , only Biden pulling out at the last minute ( appears a set up ) ..

So the leader of the Free world , comes down to 7 swing States , the popular vote hardly affects the outcome , its a long drawn out , progression which begins with winning the nomination , and much of that is how much money you can raise and continue to raise.

Vastly different from Europe or Australia , but it makes sense , it would be better if there were more swing States , but the gerrymander ( s) are well and truly alive.

Voted for Trump for two reasons:
1:) Positively for Trump. His economy was better, illegal immigration was lower, and we didn't have any new wars started for the first time in the last ~1/2 century. These are all good reasons he should get a second term.
2:) The alternative is horrendous. Kamala is inept in every sense of the word. She can't even talk to people which is why every interview she had was incredibly short and just regurgitating talking points. Watching her on 60 minutes even with the deceptive cuts and Brett Baier where she tried to filibuster for 20 minutes shows this. Additionally the democratic party is wildly radical on most every front. The area of most concern; however, is that they want to completely rewrite the fundamental American bargain. They want to rewrite the first amendment. They want to abridge the second. They want to add two new states to ensure they can never lose Congress again. They want to get rid of the Electoral college to change us from a representative constitutional republic to a pure democracy where mob rule is the law of the land. They want to stack the Supreme Court so the judiciary can't ever go against them. All-in-all they want to rewrite the constitution, and want to do so without a broad base of support 2/3rds that would be required to make any constitutional amendment. This is why I agreed with Musk when he said, "this is it, your last chance."

This is what I would truly say. How many wars were there under Donald Trump. Zero.. how many wars were there under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris exactly. We're still at war with Ukraine and Israel and shall I keep going on and on. How many American soldiers have to die because of these two incompetent presidents vice president and president who both by the way stole the last election. Cheated. Whether people dislike or can't stand Donald Trump he had a better economy for the American people and he had the border pretty damn close to being shut down with hardly anybody coming across. There's so many good things to say about what he did as a president no matter how anybody thinks of him as an asshole or whatever they want to call him he didn't a good job. So don't vote because you want the first female president or because you can't stand Donald Trump the name vote for who did more and it sure the hell wasn't our current administration.

we are getting extreme candidates and are quite divided.

trump because policies look better than the current bunch. He also has a lot of the team of people I'd support, on his side. It isn't one person but whom is influencing.

Harris... don't know whom she is and whom is writing the scripts she reads. It isn't democracy, it's some people that influence and control her I don't know. no thanks!

Hopefully whomever it is can maintain stability in the world so we all get to keep breathing and living lives.

I'd say neither candidate seems very good because neither candidate IS very good. But having said that I'd go in for Trump. My reasoning is that he'll clearly be checked by the other institutions in government and civil society (media in particular). Whereas Harris will have a TON of cover from the media machine in particular (Joe Biden is TOTALLY fine everyone!). Moreover, it's definitely true that the country has struggled a fair bit over the past 4 years and she's the one who's in charge now, so no need to keep her there.

Trump. Why? Economically mainly. But also personal freedoms such as free speech, right to bear arms are important. Better foreign policy and trade agreements as well.

As for Harris, she was supposed to handle the problem at our southern boarder for the past 4 years and she did nothing at all. Nothing. Then when Biden’s staff was hiding him due to his cognitive decline, she told us he was the sharpest on in the room and he was okay. She lied. She was selected to replace Biden because her name was on the ballots of each state and that is required. She also had access to the money that had been collected for his campaign.

I'm not voting, but I prefer Trump over Harris. But I do watch a lot of interviews/debates with borders.

There are people like me who support many of Trump's policies, but can't stand his personality.

What I've noticed in general though is the people supporting Harris seem to be mostly women and students and they mainly like her abortion policies. And Harris voters seem to think social justice issues are more important, while Trump voters seem to think that the economy and border security are more important. That's the biggest reason.

Also, I've noticed that it's mostly rich people who support Kamala with the exception of Elon Musk, because rich people have financial security so inflation doesn't impact them and they could care about other people, so they have nothing to gain for voting for Trump, so they might as well just vote for the social justice issues they care about.

I'm voting for Trump mainly because of firearm ownership above everything else. But also I remember how affordable and how cheap stuff was when Trump was in office. I was making less money back then because of the job I had and I still was saving money and had money to spend!
