So I don't even talk about the trump vs biden questions I can just ignore, but I get invited to 2-3 U. S. Election questions each day. I don't mind, but let's flip the situation. We have election until Sunday so what would you vote for if you could? A lot of countries have their own parties but there are coalitions of similar parties in the parliament who work similarly but not in the same way a party would work. Voting for each party here is impossible, so I trim it down to the coalitions. Also we actually have options. Our centrists and liberals basically want a free market, aka Adam smith. They are not your kind of liberals. 😅
The following is my personal opinion. If you want to vote for what you always voted : Christ-democrats and liberals are probably what your "non trump-specific" republicans would agree with most. European socialist and again liberals are probably what your democrats would agree most with. Bernie Sanders fans would probably agree with the greens and or left the most although the left are probably even more left than Bernie.
For those that voted trump because they specifically liked trump pre jan 6th, the right-wing populists are what you would agree with most.
For those that still specifically want trump after his conviction the AfD is probably your closest friend. Especially if you think the system is rigged.
Keep in mind you have to ignore only "voting for trump" because it's the lesser evil, or because you dislike democrats, but don't fully agree with trump. We have choices. There is not just a single option from the left and right. PS: I had to cut options because gag doesn't allow more poll options, you have to write that as a comment:

Mostly I agree. What do you mean with greens have policies that are as far left as comumists? There are obvious overlaps but I would argue it's more the left has some shared goals and of course the extremes have some of the same ideals compared to the moderate. I totally agree, that the U. S. doesn't even have a left political side. I may even revoke my opinion of saying S&D is closest to democrats. Because some overlap in policies doesn't mean they are closest. It just feels weird saying that American parties are basically a single party which would be the liberals.🙈 But some for the democrats important policies are closer to the S&D.

Its going to be interesting. In germany I think first and second place is already set. The interesting part that our far right is mot part of the european far right.
While I didn't vote for them I hope "the party" stays with at least two people. They do a huge part for transparency and they have great election posters as well.
Liberal and left or right are not even on the same axis. So yes you can easily be liberal and right wing. That being said america isn't even that liberal as many people love to call it. It was a few decades back but compared to other countries it didn't change much.

The thing is that people think the US is far right, but they think so by comparing to the most liberal countries in the world, not the average country. It's almost always people from a handful of countries in Europe who say this - maybe throw in Canada, Australia and NZ. And not even all of Europe is as liberal as the US.
But what about the rest of the world? You seem to like cherry picking. Should I mentioned Muslim countries? How about the Catholic sphere? Russia? Most of Africa? Japan? Try walking down the street smoking a joint in Japan. How many countries don't even have legal divorce, or it's a pain to do it? I know multiple people who immigrated to the US just so they can get divorced.

I really appreciate that point as we think the whole world evolves around us. We are very impactful, but there is a big world out there...
I think Europe is going right I'd go that way, but ya don't want to go too far right. Countries need to be able to maintain their character.
But we have to acknowledge the misery and risks to other countries and that people want to escape to other places. All of this is about dealing with human equality, suffering, opportunity. Shift too far right, and I go back to the left...
I'm actually, quite left on some issues but as it is... we are too far left. I see screwed up France and Europe, so I'd fix that.

I'm glad I don't have to vote in European Parliament. So many parties, too many choices.
I always vote for a candidate, not a party, teh candidate who is closest to my overall beliefs; most candidates here in the US do not strictly follow the party line, they have their own feelings on things, though it generally agrees with the party.
If I had to choose one of the parties in the poll, I guess I would pick Review Europe. They seem to be the closest to my middle-of-the road views.
Looking up the actual election results, Renew lost 18 seats, from 97 to 79.
Oh, no, more than 2 parties to choose from? I'm so overwhelmed! Seriously? You pick one, your vote will not be instantly disregarded like it is in the US or UK.
Obviously I'm not American, I'm just passing through without voting. The UK doesn't have a voice in Europe anymore, but remember you can only vote for the candidates from your own country. Most of these parties I never heard of.
As I said. These are not parties. These are the coalition of the european parliament. The only parties I named are the examples of the independants and the afd who is a special case. The afd was previously in the right wing populist group but got excluded from them for being too extreme.
The thing is, I remember as a kid always seeing the English as stuffy extremely conservative traditionalists. No matter how crazy America got England would hold that line. (Which I respected more as I aged) Reason vs Chaos or Fact over Feeling. Now the UK has gotten just as chaotic as the US and I think the world is at a loss because of that. So based on that outlook I would vote as far conservative as I could. Because it kept the balance.

American and European politics is a little different.
Far right in America is more liberal in Europe, America also has hundreds of years of federalism build into our political system.
Europe is only starting down that road and slowly figuring out how little they want to be lordered over by the E. U. This combined with migration is going to make Europe much more "right-wing" in the sense of wanted to retain local control and their own cultural values in politics.
I was going to say "are you insane?", but I know that already. OK, wanting to eliminate democracy is a pandemic, but Europe has guardrails to avoid it. Proportional representation reduces the chances of a demagogue taking control are minimised to practically 0.
EU Does not have Democracy. They have a Socialist oligarchy with too many unelected bureaucrats. They also have an invasion of non-assimilating people who oppose Western Civilization. Will take a taste of fascist Nationalism to rout them out? Yes it will. As it will our 30 million illegals.
You have to explain the context behind this and the question. The more important part, if you share that belief it tells us more about your internet bubble than it answers the question.

Europe is failing but I guess that's good so the foreigners can come in and wipe out any remnants of liberalism in those countries and take over their wealth rightfully.
Not sure where you got your data but speaking for my country, we have a rising economy even though we had an international crisis with covid and the ukrain-russia war. We had a rising crime in 2016-2017 any other year we have a Decrease in crimes for decades now.(BKA) Welfare expenditure is not true the roof but it's increasing because we have a rising economy. (Gdp and gnp) That's how stuff works. It's not more people it's a better living for people. Gender wars are just caused by two parties where I live. Political correctness or as other people say: being a decent human being. Cancel culture is funny because it's always "used as a problem" by those who want to ban the most things. 🤣🤣 Decreasing birth rates is actually true, although covid did give an increase to that. Where is the problem with that though? Foreigners don't wipe out natives they pay their pension for an increasing part. I am not up to date with other countries sorry. Maybe you can give input into that.
Its not that I call them that, right and left extremism are defined concepts. The reason there are no left extremist parties is, that this is nearly impossible. Also pls dont confuse radicalism with extremism. Extremism is a political notion that goes against the core concepts of the system they act in. Right wing extremism is often doing so with populism and removing the system from within. Left wing extremism, marxism and anarchism is often accompanied by an outside force to get rid of the system, e. G. Revolutions. (Jungkunz, S. 2022, "what is political extremism? ")
Without saying specific problems. If you think today's problems cannot be Solved by single countries Everyone but the Afd, EDR and ID are good. The rest depends on what you value the bigger problems and will get into opinions.
