I got super lucky in a college and military base city that has a high turnover rate, wanting a small 600sf apartment/condos. I also think I bought it from the estate of the original owner beginning the 1980s after a modern remodeling. So it was perfect for a single 22 year old.

I think it can be reasonable to sell it now for 1/3 more than my morgage now, which I refinance at the bottom of morgage rates on the first day of covid19 quarantine.

I don't think I could get more lucky with my own effort as a lower income just above poverty level. To get 600sf condo is not nothing but isn't that white picket fence like the American Dream promises. I'm happy but I get the frustration not being able to find and then build up the steps needed to get there.
