    not really, no...

the very VERY few articles I read about possible outcomes and this was the day before the election, it said that the possibility was, despite how close the race would be in trends... the winner was going to be by a wide margin in electoral votes, and that blocks of swing states were going to be one sided

so, a clear margin was likely to be the result... and then, Trump as the outsider and not currently in power, would be the one to win it, so...

I guess that article was kind of right in the prediction

I am not surprised at all. All the signs pointed it this. The Biden/ Harris administration was a shit show from Day 1 and everyone knew it. The media tried to cover it up and continually stonewalled all the bad news the was continually generated by a president that was clearly not up to the task.

I did not want to get overconfident because I expected the democrats to steal it again but I heard that the RNC under Michael Whatley and Lara Trump were very pro active, filing multiple lawsuits every time a voting irregularity showed up. When the Supreme Court overturned the ruling in Virginia to reinstate illegal aliens to the voting rolls I knew that the RNC was doing it's job.

No, Kamala failed at campaigning to the masses and correctly defining her views on important topics. On top of that she never answered a single question on immigration reform/ border policies lol economic improvement was also brushed off. My personal opinion is both parties had extremely inappropriate campaigning, not only was the racism, gender/sexuality discrimination, and fear mongering unneeded it was all everyone talked about. Lmao and Meg the stallion and glorilla was crazy…No matter who voted for who this was about logic and since I found both parties incapable of holding a logical stance on where our country will be from their presidency I didn’t vote.

Lol we shall see what Trump does and I’d like to see him try to remove birth right citizenship and go against our constitution and 14th amendment… also now that women’s care choice is in man’s hands hopefully child support, foster care, and schools/programs for children with needs will be palatable problems for the middle-upper class lol it’s a wait and watch game.

Definitely surprised he won the popular vote. Americans really showed me who they are today. You won’t see anymore long diatribes from me trying to save them. I’ve washed my hands of America and Americans altogether. What’s the point? We WANT to be bad people, so me fighting against that is fruitless🤷‍♂️

It's this attitude that put Trump in the White House. No one needs to be saved by you or the Kamala's or CNN's of the world! You need to be saved from yourself.

What can't any of those groups do that I can't as individuals? If you're talking "marriage" or "abortion's", those are up to individual states and are voted as such. By the way, abortion isn't in the constitution as a "right".

@LadiesFavoriteToy But that’s the thing….. the country is going well right now. Our economy is the best in the world by most measurables. We recovered better and faster from the economic effects of the pandemic than any other country in the G7. The idea that America is in bad shape in November 2024 is patently false, yet your politicians and dedicated “news” channels have been telling you it is, and you fucking rubes believe it. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my 45 years, dead serious.

Wages fell, AGAIN as compared to cost of living, it's still impossible to be a home buyer, jobs fell over a hundred thousand of what was expected last month... that's the thing, but may not effect you or I but don't constantly paint a rosey picture for those suffering. The economy was the number one issue and probably the main reason VP Harris lost.

@Slingblade1126 but everyone should have the right to get married, it shouldn’t matter that backwards people who believe in invisible men in the sky don’t like it. Abortion is a life or death issue for some women, and it’s not just a cruel method of birth control like detractors try to paint it as. Women can have all kinds of crazy shit happen in a pregnancy that you and I, as men, probably don’t even know the half of, that can lead to sepsis and death. Women shouldn’t have to think about where they live to have that prevented for them. And the whole “leaving it up to the states” is a cop-out, because you KNOW some states will do the worst, bad-faith stuff with the laws, and people can’t just be moving around willy-nilly because some idiot Bible thumper is in charge. Like that’s fucking GROSS, to not care about women like that. This isn’t just innocent shit like tax rates or how to spend a budget, these are human rights issues. I don’t give a fuck about the Constitution, we’re morons if we just fundamentally follow a document written before fucking electricity was harnessed by man. You have to roll with the times, make adjustments. The document was written by fucking slave owners, lmfao, we really gonna take their word on how to live life as golden?😂

You don't care about the US Constitution? The longest most successful one in the world! 😂😂😂😂 Your true colors are really coming out but yet, Trump and his supporters wanna disregard it? They wanna destroy the "republic" and supposedly "democracy"? Basically, you're arguing to have what Trump supposedly wants, only in your favor. Again, this elitist attitude of yours is what cost Kamala the election. There's a LOT of Democrats doing some soul searching this morning on how things went so horribly wrong, some actually get their mistakes and how their rhetoric and certain policies hurt their bases cause, some are like you and just doubling down on how smart they are and everyone else are just stupid. Juan Williams actually called young black men "racist" and "sexist", because they left the democratic party for Trump. Do you need me to explain why they left in historic numbers? Also, abortion rights are voted state by state as a referendum, that's what a democracy is.

Thats really the overall issue here, Americans are fucking ignorant and don’t understand how economy and government work. It doesn’t matter anymore. Evil won. I’m just bummed to see it, that’s all. After your comment about the constitution being garbage and pretty much worthless, you have lost all credibility. You are no different than what you claim Trump to be! A NAZI, a Fascist and dictator, right? You don't want the "people" to have a say in what they feel is in their best interest, you want them to sit down and shut up, because YOU and your ilk knows what's best for them. This superiority complex of your's is frightening but it's the same as any far lefty. It also cost you an election. Do some soul searching, like a lot of Democrats are doing and realize, you're not that smart. What happened last night is a reflection of more than half the population sick and tired of having YOUR hatred, decisiveness and vitriol projected on to them. The media does and democratic party does it. Last night, Republican's and democrat's alike said enough is enough. Some get it but obviously you don't.

@Slingblade1126 “a lot of people doing/believing something” isn’t validation of said “something.” Tons of people believe all kinds of stupid shit.

Why does good character and universal respect of others different from them need to even be debated? Not being an asshole to people feels like something that should come instinctually and without training, and is objectively correct. I can’t believe that’s even a conversation or debate that needs to be had. Just because people are obstinate about being told when they’re being assholes doesn’t mean that it’s wrong to check them on it. We should be policing each other on that, because not doing so is antithetical to decent, cooperative, equal society

First issue: let’s go with, I don’t know…homophobia. Can you explain to me, directly and without dodging the question or answering with another question, just a straight up answer to a straight up question, why you think it’s a good thing to not allow LGBTQ people to get married, by protected from undeserved persecution/harassment.

Explain to me, as succinctly and directly as possible, no dodges…why that is a good thing that we should either actively oppose or leave in position to be actively opposed, while maintaining separation of church and state, and not imposing religious beliefs on anyone.

@Slingblade1126 how is “believing” there’s some kind of problem with being gay not related to hate? Or at least “ignorance”, if you prefer? It’s never ok to have a problem with someone just existing as they are when they aren’t threatening anyone. @Slingblade1126 If someone lives in Mississippi and is gay, why should they have to move to be married? It’s never ok to treat being gay as different and worse than being straight, are you fucking kidding me right now? Are you a bot? Please tell me you are not an alive adult human being on the other end of this trying to tell that, and that it’s ok as just a “different view.” You lose nothing if gay people get married around you. Please tell me what you lose, oh my fucking god. So it’s one of those things where some idiot state government can’t just be bigoted-but-it’s-ok-because-muh-religion, that needs to be federally protected. That should be a HUMAN RIGHT. I am STUNNED, SHOCKED, ASTOUNDED that something like this is on the table for discussion, or would even cross anyone’s mind to object to in the first place. We’re talking military budget vs social services here, these are people just like you and me, in a country that CANNOT SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT “FREEDOM”, being told “you can’t experience a normal human romantic relationship without being treated like it’s something different when it’s a man and a woman, because some people believe in an invisible man in the sky, and/or think it’s icky.” That’s so incredibly fucked up that it shouldn’t have to be explained to anyone with a decent soul in their chest.

Create division and manufacturer hatred, your party is a one trick pony and has been for years. Last night your "vision" of utopia and the America you want to force every one to live in was soundly rejected. Most democrats get they're failing their base but you're still holding on for dear life. Get over yourself! No one cares about what YOU think is vital for the existence of this country. You deny your hatred of others based on what you feel makes you morally superior! That idea was rejected last night also.

I tell you it’s the white leftist elitists who have been the worst the worst about this. They just can’t accept the fact that working class Hispanics might highly dislike trans identity politics. They just can’t accept the fact that Bidenflation disproportionately harmed the working class and minutes and Kamala had no game plan for resolving it (she was the problem to begin with).

They just can’t OWN UP TO ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THEY MIGHT BE PROBLEM.

@WhiteSteve “that’s a THEM problem”. Them and “They / them”. Yep.

Funny thing is do you realize that Kamala actually GAINED a percentage point of WHITE voters in this election compared to Biden 2020? So “white” Steve is actually quite fitting choice of words for you.

Yet Kamala lost huge numbers of male black and Hispanic voters despite being a democratic minority herself.

Truth is that people including minorities are waking up to the wokeness bullsh*t. They are figuring out it was never about racial justice, gender equality and all the other bs “social” justice nostrums leftists come up with.

Nah it’s a means of white democrat elitists to main power. Just like LBJ famously quoted in 1964 that “he would have those n*****s voting democrat for 200 years” after he signed all the racial entitlement programs into law. Then the democrats proceeded to completely destroy black families which cascaded into more poverty and crime.

This election was a resounding f*ck you to leftist elitists and globalists and I’m loving every second of it. They thought everybody is stupid and “they” being the wise white elitists know what is best. And they are WRONG. Dead wrong.

      @blueonblack22 ok, so couple things…

First, I’m still trying to nail down and answer…. yes or no, do you think it’s ok to give trans people a hard time in public society and life in general? If yes, why?

Second…. can you define what “woke” is, in your estimation? And additionally can you explain to me why you think it’s bad, both societally and individually for you? It’s kind of a vague term that no longer means what I knew it to know.

Kamala never ran on being a minority or being a woman. The noise about that only came from the right, she only talked policy and hope. That lineup at Madison Square Garden was WILD to see in contrast. Kamala was saying she’d be a president for all Americans, Trump’s got speakers trashing Puerto Rico, calling Americans “the enemy within” for not agreeing with MAGA, another guy is talking about how the left are all degenerates, one visibly-Jewish guy was weirdly holding up a cross and calling Kamala the anti-Christ….. WILD fucking scene😂 And there’s Kamala, talking the most normal, sane stuff you’d expect, Trump
& friends talking absolutely crazy, and then people are telling me it’s Harris who’s a dangerous lunatic. I am clearly just not privy to some information that you guys are if that’s the assessment.

I didn’t catch up on the whole demographics breakdown, but it should be noted that there are many folks who I would defend in some circumstances due to the bullshit they get just for their race/ethnicity, but some of those same cultures have bad problems with homophobia and transphobia, and you could win their vote against their best interests based on a shared bigotry. Which is very sad, and very challenging for me.

I'm not surprised. The left has been treating people like absolute garbage in recent years. I'm a lifelong libertarian and don't have any beef with either side (other than me just hating all of you statist bastards 😊) but for some reason the left has been going off on me lately. And I look at the legal efforts against the right as deliberate lawfare and abuse of our executive, as I would if the focus was switched to the left (on like it was in the 50s-80s). I think this election was decided by the non-partisans and I think there are a lot of people like me that just couldn't side with the left anymore.

I was surprised when Biden defeated a sitting President in 2020. In US history, that is rare, and the first time a former VP defeated a sitting President.

In the 2024 election season, I'm not surprised at anything,. Anything could happen, and it did.

I am surprised that the Democrats are now blaming Biden for their loss. Sad, very sad. They are the ones that pushed him out.

Is it rare for an incumbant president to lose? Trump lost in 2020, Bush Sr lost in 1992, Carter lost in 1980, Ford lost in 1976. At least in the last 50 years it was pretty common.

Not really surprised by the outcome of the Election, as I'm watching it from outside of the US, I'm not limited by what is put out American Main Stream Media, outside the US we see a more balanced view of what the American Voters were thinking, and to say that those voters were pissed off with the way Democrats/'Biden' Admin (they are not necessarily they same thing) have handled the last four years would be an understatement.

Honestly, yes, knowing how far low the opposition would go to stop Trump. They tried to bankrupt him, they tried to imprison him, and they even tried to kill him... Yet, none of that worked.

The Democrats' own desperation is why Trump has now been elected.

Never fear- the Democrats have some more dirty tricks up their sleeve. And don’t forget that Trump gets sentenced by corrupt Judge Merchan in less than two weeks. Think his daughter‘s Democratic Party clients aren’t demanding a long sentence?

Not at all surprised and it was quite obvious a number of polls were manipulated partisan boosts for Kamala. The results were quite in line with the polls I was following mostly.

I followed a live stream of the counting from start to finish and nothing happens quickly. The critical wins in the former blue wall were a slow time building up.

I didn't think it would be that easy.. I thought for sure it would be a bit closer than it turned out, and some "interference" would take place.. Which it probably did, but Kamala was so far behind that it didn't help like it did with Biden.. But I'm not that surprised because nobody wanted Kamala..

Exactly. They actually tried to rig the election in PA, they just got caught. I think this election ended up being honest because a bunch of people started shining spotlights on what the Dems were doing.

@ProbablyClueless Yup, I'm aware of that one and Milwaukee. As well as the voting machine passwords being public in a few places. People were on point and the republicans outnumbered the election interference / election manipulation. Not a clean election though so I hope they learn from it and put some proper reform in place to make it like the dutch polling.

@Apple1996 can you provide in detail how Trump is disloyal? Making up a law to be a felony, doesn't make Trump a felon, genius. Trump hasn't ever been to convicted for rape, so you just committed defamation. He's never been on trial for or been accused of pedophilia by any credible source, so you've now committed defamation twice in one ignorant riddled comment.

But your hypocrisy is beyond laughable. You completely ignore the fact that Biden is accused of rape (Tara Reade), incestuous pedophilia (showering with his underaged preteen daughter), the fact that he stole top secret files that he had ZERO legal right to have and the irrefutable fact that Biden has taken millions from corrupt countries.

Here's a life lesson for you queen of ignorance, you not accepting the facts doesn't make them less factual. Grow tf up.

If you call yourself a Christian then you shouldn't abstain your vote. That's not what the Bible teaches.

Pray for your leaders, but remember that not voting isn't actually "not" voting - it's tacit support for the existing regime.

I can't vote where I live because I'm not a citizen here. I can't vote in my home - the UK - because by the time a postal ballot reaches me in South Africa the next election has been called.

Voting - if you can - is your responsibility if you want to claim YHWH as your God.

Sitting in a garage doesn't make you a car.

And I'm not saying you're a "bad" Christian or that you're not a Christian - please don't misunderstand me.

As Christians we have a responsibility to be salt and light in the World. Not voting tells the World you're ok with the way things are going - which I find hard to believe from things you've posted before.

I'm not going to say who you should have voted for. That's between you and God. But I will say that the way the more ungodly candidate would benefit would be by Godly voters not casting a ballot

@DJB72 Thank you for bringing this up. I appreciate it. I am going to search that scripture. The reason I am not voting is because my pastor told us that we will go to hell for voting because When we vote we are idolizing politicians and the church pastor explain to us that if we vote we wil lend up in hell for idolizing. Oh palm trees , I don't want to end up in hell I want to make God happy and serve him.

No disrespect intended, but your pastor's a moron. You're not idolasing politicians for casting a vote - and please ask him how he was appointed, because I'd lay real money on a vote being part of it!

Who you vote for has zero impact on where you spend eternity. As long as you've repented and asked Christ to be Lord in your Heart then any sin, past or future, is covered by the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus. No exceptions.

I'm guessing Baptist? Just a hunch. I've been Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, New Frontiers, United Reformed and several independent. I also co-founded a group of churches in Kenya.

Trust Jesus, not the guy at the front with his shirt backwards or wearing a dress. Especially if it's an ACTUAL dress!

Like I said, I've been a Baptist. Twice, actually. I had the blessing of joining a baptist church with a minister who was more interested in Jesus than the Baptist Church - which worked well until some of the old guard with influence over the eldership denied him any stipend increase for four years to the point he had to resign to take a job outside the ministry to pay his bills, then got dispensation to appoint one of their own in his place.

The second church fractured after an equally Godly man retired and the in-fighting was too familiar.

Besides, I've heard ungodly policies from enough different pulpits to recognise each denominational issues. And seeing idolatry in politics is a massive one for a lot of baptist branches
