I am astonished at the mindset some women have that unwanted children deserve to be killed.

Under Trump women will have no rights to their bodies, all hail men the superior gender, they know what’s best for us in every way possible.

Yes, that’s right! Women in America will be reduced to glorified baby makers no matter the situation, what do you think is going to happen to a mother who is forced into giving a birth she doesn’t want?

Mr Trump has already said he wants to protect all women whether they like it or not, might as well be slaves to the men again.

Any women who cherish their rights, come to Canada, America isn’t the dream anymore.

In the US it is up to the individual states to decide on abortion, not the president.
7 more states voted to protect abortion rights and in 3 the measure failed.
Ultimately it comes down to the states, and then to the supreme court of which there was one female out of the 5 justices that overturned Roe.
There are 14 states that either totally ban abortions, or to only to some degree.
That leaves 36 states where abortion is still legal.
If any sitting president tries to ban abortions, they simply could not do that.
The laws are written so that there has to be checks and balances along the way ending up in the supreme court which can overturn a decision like that.
Roe was overturned based on the merits of the case, ultimately it was overturned by the supreme court leaving it up to the individual states to decide if they will or will not allow it at all or what is allowed, not the president.
So even though a president says this is what they want to do, it does not mean that it can or will actually happen.
There is a process involved.

The President really has no power over abortion. The Supreme Court correctly ruled that the Constitution reserves that power to the individual states, which is the way it was for almost 200 years. There were several states that had abortion measures on the ballot in 2024. Some passed and some didn't. Each state, and its citizens, determine what the state's rules are for abortion, and that's the way it should be in a nation of states, which is what the US is... just look at the name.

If Canada were called the United Provinces of Canada, you might have a different opinion.

We honestly need to stop fighting with the gender superiority cuz men and women are capable of doing what the other gender can't. Equality is important for all to experience. I feel that the idea of abortion is necessary if it endangers the well-being of the mother, the child, if it was a SA or incest related pregnancy and not just because the option is there to fix the irresponsibility of the person who failed practicing safe sex to begin with. Condoms, contraceptives, and other preventative measures can be taken and I feel like the idea of abortion should be considered for those who genuinely deserve it and qualify under those reasons. Not for those who just feel like they should be allowed to get rid of a pregnancy after months of the baby growing since it's convenient for them and available. If we want to talk about superiority of genders, let's talk about men not having a say in the decision of whether he has a say in his child being aborted if he wants to be a dad. Men and women who pay child support not having a way to ensure that the money paid was actually used towards the child but yet the person who pays child support gets monitored if they fall behind and then get further put into a worse situation because they can take their drivers license, or take assets from them, or garnish paychecks, put them in jail... it's not right. Lots of different things come to mind when you look for the unfairness of both genders and the battles they face based on their assigned sex at birth. Bottom line is that we need to stop comparing genders and stop looking at race and come together as a whole rather than divide. Just my personal opinion but I do understand your frustrations.

It was the U. S. Supreme Court that overturned Roe v Wade. Trump had nothing to do with it.
They said federal involvement was unconstitutional and that only individual states could pass laws regarding abortion.
Since then, some ass hole states have severely restricted abortions or banned them entirely.

I don't think Trump intends to push for a federal ban on abortions. I think he is satisfied with the court ruling.

I, personally, liked the original Roe v Wade decision. I think abortion should be legal (with some limitations).

Not much different than it was before. Trump hadn't abolished abortion and he's explicitly said he has no intention of doing so in the future.

He just made it to where the states can make their laws about it rather than the federal government.
