if we lose that stuff and he fails to get some things achieved... and maybe ends up escalating existing wars, losing American lives.. yea, I'd be dissapointed. But, he was president and they still exist even after covid. Covid not his fault and he did well to restrain spending when democrats wanted to spend even more.

reality is though... we were losing SS already as inflation was eroding purchasing power of my fixed income and we ran biggest deficits ever. I couldn't even pay rent on that SS. I'm hoping he can repair finances of country. there's hope of that with someone smart assigned to cut spending. If you'll recall last time, one of first things he did was renegotiate military contracts to cut costs, waive his salary, get nato to spend more, etc.. That's what he will do... repair finances.

When I file my federal taxes, fill up my truck and look at. my investments I will just smile a little bit. When I see a few busloads of illegal aliens leave town and the two hotels they were living in can house Americans again I will smile a lot
