You gotta admit, he has some mighty big aspirations seeing as he wants Greenland and Canada. I believe he also wants to take over rebuilding the Gaza Strip. I wish he used that money on the American people instead of on everyone and everywhere else. I can only imagine what it would be like if still under Biden.
I said this prior, then quietly stopped since I felt it was irrelevant.
The whole point of me bringing it up in 2024 was to stop people from making a big mistake, now that the mistake is here I felt I didn’t need to mention it also it triggered a lot of people (Republicans) whenever I brought it up.
In the 2016 cycle, I used to support Trump. Yes I couldn’t vote then, but I did support him believing he would be the best thing for our country.
I own up to that mistake.
Seeing his second term, is definitely worse than his first given the rise of Measles, not fixing grocery prices, falsely claiming that “Affordability” is Democrat Hoax (he used it on the campaign trail) and falsely claiming that Epstein Files are a Democrat Hoax (he used that as a promise on the campaign trail too).
When something is good, he takes credit. If something is bad, he’ll find a scapegoat.
I’ve seen countless clips of Republican District leaders getting hate from their voter base from Trump Admin’s unpopular policies and not sticking to its “mandate”. Remember, Donald J Trump claimed to have been elected on a mandate by the American people so, they’ll stick to it? Pretty much did nothing that would help uplift all and be Anti-Establishment, almost embracing the Establishment since Zuckerburg, Gates, Bezos, Musk were all present in the front row of his inauguration.
Trump flip flopped not just on foreign policy and politics at home, from the lies regarding January 6th. He claimed it was ANTFA, so why did Trump give a sweeping pardon to all involved on that day? Department of Homeland Security reminded everyone that touching Federal Officers is a crime, so… What about January 6th with the footage of people touching, punching, injuring, and being assholes onto Federal Officers? Seems a bit hypocritical, same goes for Ashley Babbitt being honored and Renee Good being declared a terrorist.
I could go on, trust me I could however my fingers would ache at attempting to capture everything wrong with this broken Administration.

No matter how bad he is, he's still preferable to a Democrat. I have NEVER liked him. Not when he was a Democrat, and not when he pretended to be a Republican. I find it hard to believe the Republicans chose him as their candidate in the first place.
Having said that, I never voted for him in the primaries, but voted for him twice in the general election. I have zero regrets for that, because as bad as he is, he's still preferable to a Democrat, especially modern Democrats. However, in 2024 I refused to vote for him again. I'm sick of voting for the lesser of the evils.
My only regret is that the Republican party couldn't find someone better. The people being offered up by both major parties have been horrendous for quite some time now. It would be nice to actually get some good candidates.
As for Greenland, I'll just point out that Trump is not the first president to try to get Greenland. He's at least the third. So that is not a new idea that he thought up off the top of his head.
Honest question... How is any Democrat worse than Trump? I'm genuinely asking and curious how you form your opinions on democrats. Here's the thing Democratic policies would not have led us to having ICE terrorizing red states. I just don't understand when people say this and I genuinely mean I don't understand.. Yes Obama deported a lot of people. About 3 million over 8 years. But nearly 85 to 90 percent of those removals were people caught at or near the border or people with criminal convictions. Interior deportations of long term residents actually went down later in his presidency as priorities narrowed.
Trump changed that. In 2017 he removed the priority system so literally anyone undocumented became a target even if they had no criminal record, had lived here 20 years, had kids who are citizens, or were actively in immigration court. Interior ICE arrests jumped about 40 percent in Trump’s first year alone and the share of non criminal arrests nearly doubled.
Family separation was also a Trump era policy. Over 5,000 children were separated from parents as a deterrent strategy. That never happened under Obama.
Trump also expanded courthouse arrests, workplace raids, and fast track removals, and restricted asylum access. Those tactics directly impacted communities that previously felt relatively safe from random enforcement.
So no people were not reacting to the existence of deportations. They reacted to how aggressive and indiscriminate enforcement became and the humanitarian fallout that followed.
Saying Obama deported people too ignores the difference between targeted enforcement and dragnet enforcement. Same system. Very different behavior.
So no this isn’t hypocrisy. People aren’t reacting to deportations existing. They’re reacting to ICE expanding tactics that crossed legal and ethical lines, ignored due process, separated families, and treated everyone as a target instead of following the law and basic standards of enforcement.

Also, illegal immigrants aren't entitled to due process under the Constitution. The only criteria required to deport an illegal immigrant is that person is an illegal immigrant. Over 75% of the millions of illegal immigrants deported by Obama were deported without due process. So yes, it's 100% hypocrisy.

Illegal immigrant adults and illegal immigrant children aren't housed together, just like in regular jails and prisons. @NYCQuestions1976 I have no problem with the law being followed. If i don’t like the law then my issue is to argue for an amendment not just do what i want. There is expedited removal law which is legal when an illegal immigrant is apprehended at the border within 2 weeks of crossing. This is the only exception. I think many people are blurring that with you can skip due process for anyone illegal and many us citizens are being detained without due process by this ICE department under Trump.
