1 yIf you look at the numbers the 81 million that voted Biden in did not go to Trump this time. Trump got similar to the 74 million that voted him in last time so, the real question is why didn’t the Democratic Party excite their voter base?
The answer is, The Democratic Party in 2020 was so eager on defeating Trump, they chose Vice President Biden not realizing the consequence over the next years. The 20 million that refused to vote either party was not done to luck or shifting political views, in fact it was done because of no political leaning whatsoever. Why did these 20 million vote last round? Simply put, they were struggling during the Pandemic and were wondering how to put food on the table / provide for their families… Joe Biden spoke directly to them in FDR-like Fireside Chats instead of the Covid19 Superspreading events. Another factor could be Civil Unrest though I’m not 100% certain. Civil Unrest, only one politician agreed to putting an end to it using the powers of the presidency by talking to Civil Rights Activists similar to an LBJ hosting MLK Jr. to pass the Civil Rights Act. Biden spoke to voters about their dreams & desires while Trump got his supporters to sacrifice independent thought and made his problems their problem hence the whole Rigged, Stop The Steal, and January 6th Riot.
Fast forward, Democratic Party reaped what it sowed by not making it clear to President Biden “IF you win, you are only staying one term so we can turn the party to a new generation”…. Biden overstayed his welcome and Kamala Harris’ only attribute was “I’m not Trump”. To simplify it for Democrats and Republicans: 5 months isn’t what a campaign makes a President, you need longer time to establish a candidate and simply saying “I’m not Trump” isn’t good enough as Joe Biden proved.
2028, hope Democratic Party learns from this and takes a good hard look in the mirror. No more anti Trump stuff, focus on your policy & your effectiveness more than the shortcomings of a deranged loon. Just a thought. Bye

I agree with most of what you said (as usual), but Harris blew Trump out of the arena in the debate, and though she was a bit slow in getting her intentions out, she did finally make clear her intentions on leading the country and where to take it. Her whole campaign stressed getting along and not trying to cut down others. Even in her concession speech she stressed working with the Trump people to make the turn over of power smooth and effective, as she carried a lot of power even though she was only the VP. Compare that to Trump who never admitted losing in 2020 and is still making up lies about that election. And he never allowed a transition so the day power went to Biden, Biden's team had not had any support in helping the country with the changes. That was Trump still screwing the country. And then attacking the Capitol. We can expect the same concern for the country now as then.

@Red_Arrow Well I regret writing this because someone made a great point, 74 million Americans still stood by Trump regardless of Guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records…. Still stood by learning about January 6th through the Select Committee (with Republican witnesses who worked closely with Trump and his associates), $150 in business fraud trial, found civilly liable for rape, etc. We need to educate these 74 million Americans / try to reach out or else Democratic Party will continue to lose in addition to what I wrote previously.

1 yI don't know what the term is in English but in Polish we say, "Biden dał im dobrze po papalić." Which basically translates to something along the line of, a lot of people suffered consequences for electing him. We got into two new wars. A lot of blacks lost their jobs too illegals. A lot of blue collar jobs in the rust belt states were lost. Arizona got flooded with criminals. We also had a record number of young people who turned out and voted for him. You could say it was rigged, maybe it was maybe it wasn't. A lot of young people especially admitted they liked his policies, but not his personality, which is the biggest reason they voted for Biden. I guess they finally got their priorities straight. They didn't realize how incompetent Biden would be. We also had a lot of independents and undecideds go for him. I heard going on Theo Vaughn and Joe Rogan also helped him reach a younger audience. Also, even Kamala's allies at CNN and Univision turned on her, which I feel made people finally question here. I think she still would've had a chance, but she made too many mistakes during the last few weeks of her campaign. She criticized Trump for refusing to do a second debate, when she refused to debate him on Fox, then she showed up late to a Fox News interview and refused to do Joe Rogan's podcast, which really exposed her hypocrisy and insecurity. She never directly answered questions, but always started talking about Trump and felt the need to constantly remind us that she was a prosecutor. But I think what really did her in was Joe Biden calling half the American population "garbage". That sealed her fate. Then she had that Julia Roberts video and that video about how Biden did so much for the economy and how Trump ruined it. Her lies became so ridiculous that even people on the Left couldn't believe them. She based her entire campaign on denying Biden's dimentia and what Trump did wrong instead of what SHE would do. She took the American people for fools, she even called young voters "idiots", but we're not as dumb as naiive as we think. She seemed to have a strong start, but her lies and hypocrisy are what ultimately did her in. Also, even for many Liberals she wasn't their first choice. The DNC just put her in. The American people did not nominate her to run. Remember in the last election she only had 1% of the vote.

The biden administration has been a disaster. During her campaign she stayed loyal and backed his decisions and polices. Plus with his mental deterioration, many believed she was running the country not him.
Before biden the country economy ran smoother exception of covid because of obvious reasons.
Her campaign was mostly about women's reproductive rights, trans rights.
People struggling to feed their family are not concerned with a woman getting pregnant and wanting to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy.
They aren't concerned with someone being called a pronoun.
We had much bigger issues and concerns. They felt trump was going to focus more on the problems that are hurting 90% of Americans instead of maybe 1 0r 2 percent of the population (trans)
And 5 to 10 percent of the population that are trying to have abortion. Because not a big portion of the population of women are running around getting pregnant and having abortions.
The truth was harris was not in touch with what America was struggling with. Trump was.
And the proof is there as to the fact that trump was painted to be hitler, but the majority voted him in. And he actually easily won, flipping some loyal blue states as well.

1 yThat's just what happens when You overdose political correctness. Kamala attempted to appear as a voice of unity, but from pretty much all of her actual program statements it was obvious that she was the one who wants to divide the American society and act on behalf of very few carefully curated groups of interest. And it appears that the American society is far smarter and more self-aware than even I anticipated (since at the beginning, I actually subscribed to the belief that Kamala would steamroll Trump - even if it wasn't a happy thought to me, I didn't expect this kind of what is basically a popular uprising against the Democrats).

1 yI think it's because they're tired of being gaslit and having their intelligence insulted.
They know their lives suck. They can see that their lives suck. They can see that their lives suck as a result of Democrat policies. They can see that they're being crapped on.
And the Democrats' only response to this very obvious fact is to lie about it and tell us how wonderful life is. They barely even acknowledge it. And the extent to which they do acknowledge it, they always try to find a way to blame it on somebody else; whether it's Trump, Putin, or some other person.

1 y- The Democrats did a fantastic job of offending the working class.
-Americans were particularly displeased with Biden’s handling of inflation. Since Biden came to power, consumer prices have risen by more than 19 percent.
- A lot of women, despite the Democrats’ attempts to appeal, are not interested in the victim mentality and are not single issue voters. The same can be said for a lot of Black and Latino voters.30 Reply
1 yBecause his opponent was a black and Indian woman who wanted to give women equal rights and promised affordable healthcare. Most of her supporters were either non-whites or sensible white people from the lower and middle classes. Many might have assumed that she many favour the minorities even when she treated everyone equally.
A country with mostly white people who are extremely radical and hostile towards minorities would naturally pick Trump who is a perfect example of a racist and corrupt man who sexualises his own daughter. They’re used to going bankrupt, especially due to healthcare expenses so it really doesn’t matter to them.

Half the time; she makes zero sense and don't get me started on her insane obsession with race, and I've seen her racist comments aimed towards black and white people, so yeah. Now feel free to block me, Dr. Pepper, for not going along with your nonsense.
- 1 y
@RageBabe: Pepper shares her fascination with race. It’s a control mechanism- Democrats want voting by minorities to be on the basis of race because they cannot and do not want to deliver good policies. With their record of failure, no one votes for the Democrats on the merits- it’s on the basis of division and hate. Lots of people are seeing through this cynical and unethical tactic.
- 1 y
@Ragebabe I never said anything bad about any race but I know that people are mad when I get attracted to guys from other races. I’ve been a victim but yes I never said anything racist myself.
- 1 y
@Ragebabe I find black guys hot. Deal with it.
- 1 y
Deal with it? You make no sense at all. It's none of my concern who you find attractive, and to be honest, I don't give a damn, but I do give a damn about you trying to gaslight me anyway; other people have clocked onto your bullshit as well for creating many identities to post racially biased queries, along with me seeing some of your less than kind comments about “basic white women." I'd say you have a lot of insecurities, hence the need for you to use a photo of a woman that isn't you. This discussion is done!

1 yBecause either the government really makes the decision and makes us think our votes matter or our votes really do matter and this exposes America to show that they rather have division than peace because Trump has done nothing but promoted division based on his disrespect of how he talks to people and minorities. We have all seen it and clearly if our vote really does matter, a lot of people could care less about the fact that he incited an insurrection against our own government and is a convicted felon, etc. The majority picking him just shows the true colors of this nation and how messed up it is. It’s not surprising He’s in there yet. It’s very disappointing that he actually got back in there after everything he has done and the first administration. Trap literally exposed America.
10 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Because the voter turnout was low. Trump did not really get more votes than last time, Harris simply got less than Biden. Trump did not get more popular than the time he lost against Biden. If you are asking for who has the support of the majority, I would say "no one".
17 Reply- 1 y

JK, liberals don't bloviate lies like MAGA.
A multitude of reasons but I'm just going to go with you I'd stand by for now "It's the economy, stupid" Even though that was not the case and the fact that Biden is in no way responsible for the inflation - That's the pandemic you're thinking of and inflation was worldwide.10 Reply 5.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The limp wrist liberals mentality of keeping the status que sucks. Even as a leftist I've always said resting on our laurels isn't good enough. It's definitely safer for those on the edge but without a long term solution that's dooming them to death.
So a lot of people are going to get hurt. Some can even die. I just hope we can stop ourselves when everything don wants costs too much compared to bullets.

1 yBecause the democrats never got the message that mainstream America is tired of all the illegal immigration, have so many freebe projects, protecting LBGT is not that big an issue, and because so many live from paycheck to paycheck they saw no hope of it getting any better.
00 Reply 11.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The majority of the country is obsessed with money and Trump promised to help them get more. Also, a substantial part of the country is racist and women are disliked by many at this point as is abortion.
Put all that together and you have voting for Trump.33 Reply- 1 y
Well... Those other races also took part in the elections. The Latinos even seemed to actually favour Trump over Harris. And women are literally about half of the population, so even if the mythological "incels" unversally hate them, and even if all men were those mythological "incels", they should have no issue racking up a much better result for Harris by themselves.

@DrPepper12 Well, let's see. Items 1,2,3,4 were also adopted by Kamala Harris, so let's ignore those whether they might happen or not. Item 6 will happen, which also satisfies items 5 and 7. The rest, we'd have to investigate more. Just for grins, let's look at some of the things Kamala Harris said that would never happen, because the President doesn't have the Constitutional authority to do them:
1. Nationwide restoration of Roe v Wade
2. Stop price gouging by companies especially grocery stores
3. Restore student loan amnesty
