I do believe in some intervention that certain things are not allowed to happen in the world, one of which would be destruction of the planet. So in the case that Kamala would have led to a nuclear war its possible things got nudged into the other direction. Doesn't make Trump a saint or anything, just means that the other side had to be prevented.
