She is so happy that Trump won and said he will make America great again. She was saying nasty things about Kamala Harris. She said that, “So glad Biden is going to be out of the office on January. Get the hell out Joe Biden! Also take Kamala’s ass with you and both rot in HELL!!!”

I was a bit offended but I didn’t saying anything. She looked at me and said, “Look it’s the truth. Kamala isn’t a good person and I’m so glad she didn’t win. America would be miserable with that witch.” I just walked out of the room. I’m thinking about ending the friendship with her because she supports a criminal that took away women’s rights and the LGBTQ2 community.

She was your friend and you're just NOW finding out that she's a Trump supporter. Blocking her is a little extreme. How long have you known each other. This girl I've been talking to for years told me she supports Kamala. I was shocked anf disappointed, but it didn't even cross my mind to block her, even though had an argument, because we've been friends for so long, and it's not the first time we disagreed on politics.

I don't think she was disrespectful to YOU, so I think it would be silly to end a good friendship over some comments she made about Joe and Kamala. It's not like she told YOU to rot in hell.

If you don't want to debate her in a civilized manner, just tell her, "Let's not talk about politics anymore." And remember the reasons you became friends with her in the first place. Just because she supports Trump it doesn't mean she's a bad person.

Also are you LGBT? If not, what do you care about their rights? That's THEIR problem. And were you planning to get an abortion in the future?

Under Trump for instance there were more women in Congress than ever before.

I am not your mother so you can do whatever you want really, but the fact that you are questioning your friendship with them is NOT a good sign.

To put it simply, if she has these beliefs then she has already lost touch with reality. What she believes does not correspond with reality so trying to talk with her about it is likely to be a complete waste of time. I also do not particularly hold people who can become this deluded in high regard and would not want to associate with them anyways.

But this is your friend and you need to decide if she is worth all the effort and emotional pain that its going to cost to maintain your friendship with her. Its not going to be easy but it might be possible to keep her as a friend if that is truly what you want but only you can decide if she is worth it or not.

Why are sooooooooooooooooo many liberals sooooooooooooo butt hurt about the election results that they are ending relationships with friends and even family over it? I have seen so many examples of this since Wednesday. I don't get it. Why do you think you should never again associate with someone just because they have different political views than you? I feel like this is a sense of entitlement among liberals that is new and increasing over the last few election cycles. It's not a good look.

This is not about being emotional or butthurt about winning or losing the election. This is about moral values and being unable to compromise on what you think is right and wrong.

If you ask me then having a strong sense of your own morality and being unwilling to look away when these values are violated means you are a good persona and a good look. Asking liberals to not care about their core beliefs and "get over it" is crude and tyrannical.

I also think you are missing something here. It is not the liberals that is seen as intolerant or unreasonable in this situation. And no, the values of most people who support Trump are simply the values of a few decades ago, the one on which this country was founded and built. Trump just gave them a reason to have hope that the country is not a lost cause. It's the left who has taken us in a so-called "progressive" direction that has led to insane inflation, the culture war, gender ideology that is harming our children, drugs coming across our border that are killing thousands of Americans, projecting weakness to the world which has allowed things like the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
