Do you have any "rude" habits?

Is there something you do that people might think is rude?

I don't like to be in the kitchen when other people are in the kitchen. It's unavoidable at times, but if I already know someone is in the kitchen, sometimes I'll wait until they leave to go do/get whatever I need from there.

I am very introverted and shy and sometimes act very awkward unknowingly but I never mean to offend. I will usually message people back after a few days and hate the pressure to respond right away. It makes me anxious and I worry that I won't be able to keep the conversation interesting or stimulating enough so I procrastinate.

Another thing is being very honest and straight forward and sometimes skipping over small talk or social niceties altogether. I find it fake and makes me feel inauthentic. I also hate people walking slow and just cut past them if I can when they are just lingering aimlessly and totally unaware.

I walk away from people when there is a lull in the conversation and don't say I'm leaving or say "catch you later" or anything. To me that is indicative that the conversation died down and we can get back to work or move on...

Lastly, I ask a lot of questions because I'm very curious about people's lives, how they grew up, how they became the way they are, etc. I'm interested in psychology and I'm sure my questions get to be too much sometimes lol 😂

I tend to be very direct with people. If they want something from me, but they don't point it out directly or beat around the bush - I call them out.
Saves us both a lot of trouble and second guessing.
And I don't mean being outright rude - just to the point.
There's very few people I don't talk to like that, but I'm very easily done with people who don't know how to directly communicate.

lmfao... I know exactly what you mean, because I many times do the same

and not only that... but if I am on my way to the kitchen and someone follows me, I do turn around... or I was at the kitchen, and they show up to get on my way, I'd be like "nah, I'll come back later"

and I know it must feel rude, lmfao... so I try not to do it all the time

but I swear, some people just get on your way ALL the time, and they're so slow about it... or they just even stand there and do nothing, stare at things... lmao

I love my father but damn... he's exactly like that, haha

It is not rude.
I also don't like working in the kitchen when other family members are doing some work as they come in between my work and disrupt my pace of work. But when they are working on their side and stay away from mine then I can handle it

Yes, I refuse to be available to everyone 24/7. I'll "ignore" a message if I'm not feeling social & I'll not be texting back "I'm not feeling social". I hate the notion that there are people out there who feel entitled to my time and energy as it is theirs to spend.

I hate "how are you doing?" As the everyday opening greeting. I will save it if something actually happened that warrants excitement or support if needed. I heard about this is still a good opening.

So i just say "yo" as a weird habit from my parents and i don't have to clear my throat first thing in the morning. Greeting but ignoring the question. People still do it every time so it can't hurt their feelings too much.

Bella I sometimes walk too fast when I'm with another person. Part of that I think is because I'm tall and have long legs. I tend to walk what you would call fast out of habit. I can understand why people might find that rude. If I see the other person is not keeping up I will slow down though.

yeah i sometimes interrupt people cause something was on my mind and i don't realize they weren't done talking. it's not intentional but i notice it often.

I can't place my finger on one but I've been told recently that my temper sucks. Which allows me to say things that are insulting. I do have a degree in smart-ass and sarcasm but I usually try to use those in jest and fun.
