1. Neither was a "great uniter". Far from it.
2. Trump has nothing on Reagan in the communication department because Trump is often an incoherent rambler. He came from money and so really doesn't connect with the working class, but he's smart enough about human nature to know how to bullshit them and himself. Reagan came from modest circumstances and was 35 years older, so he understood a lot that Trump never could; Reagan lived through WW2 and the Great Depression, so he genuinely knew of grim times and could connect with the millions of others who have too.

@phraseology First of all, that is edited. They have taken parts and put them together to form a coherent message. Secondly, that is from 2016 which just makes it funny since he did none of what he claimed in this video.

Furthermore, this was obviously a speech written for Trump since it does not use his vernacular and he still manages to put in sections that are either badly phrased or dont really make sense.

Even if you take this as the absolute best case scenario, it still does not portray him as a great communicator nor as a good orator.

No. Reagan was not only better, he was the best Presidential communicator in the last 50+ years.

Trump's strength is how he miraculously connects with ordinary folks, and his ability to negotiate and out-wit everyone he goes toe to toe with.
