I voted for Trump because he is going to bring prices down unlike Joe Biden who increased inflation. China is going to have to pay the tariff, not the American people. Trump is going to fix the economy and bring prices down. I don't know why they keep trying to blame Donald Trump for everything I believe in him and his plans.

Trump is completely ignorant of basic economics. Tariffs will increase prices. That's inevitable. Who will pay? That depends on the "elasticity of demand", which is the sensitivity of purchasers to price increases, and the availability of domestic substitutes. For something that people won't live without, they consumer will pay 100% of the tariff. The producer has no reason to absorb any of that cost, because their sales will stay about the same regardless of the price. For things that people want but can live without, the tariff will be partially absorbed by the producer and partially paid by the consumer. But no matter what, prices will go up and some people will do without.

Simple example: Imagine a TV made by a company in China and a similar model from Korea. Both are selling for $500. We put a 20% tariff on the Chinese import. The producer decides to absorb half the tariff and pass on the other half, so the price goes up to $550. The Korean company sees that their competitors price has increased. They see that they can charge more and still capture more of the demand, so they increase their price to $530. Some consumers will decide not to buy, but others will pay $530 for a TV they could have gotten for $500 before Trump's tariffs.

Because either American companies who produce the entire product in china which are almost all of them have to pay the import fee.
Or companies who sell stuff in the US which isn't 100% made in china will still pay an import fee on parts.

Or you produce everything in the US, which would either cause lower wages or higher prices, which in the end of the day is the same thing.

The third option would be, ceos paying the price with lowering their salary, which they would never do.

This is why we had to spend 19 billion in taxpayer money bailing out all the farmers who lost out so badly during his first term tariff war. China just tariffs the US back for an equal amount. The extra cost is passed on to the consumer.

the one whom tariffs have been imposed on are the ones paying that tariff. nobody else is paying unless the tariff is specifically imposed on them

prices will go down because America will become an exporter rather than importer. imported goods from outside companies are the ones paying that tariff unless they create jobs for Americans thus they avoid the tariff and Americans get paid
