No, and states need to making it harder to be homeless, being homeless is bad enough. Many places are designing benches and other public places/amenities to be anti-homeless. What's saddening, is many homeless are veterans suffering from PTSD and other mental health issues, we have a blank check to send them to war, but nada when they come home. All the money wasted on the failed Ukraine proxy war could have been used to end our homeless problem with money left over. On interesting solution I seen (forget which state) was a camp setup on the edge of town which consisted of small shed type buildings and a communal restroom.

Just watched a short video on Finland solving homelessness, and someone in the comments mentioned how they went from making $250k a year to being disabled and homeless because of car accident, they did sue but the dependent got out of it because they were the judges daughter.

I once donated my time at a homeless shelter around Christmas. My job was to scoop the mashed potatoes on their plates. I was confused. I just finished a 10 hour shift at work, and now I'm scooping potatoes? When I arrived, they were all outside smoking. None of them can scoop potatoes?

@msc545 Why not have banks avaiable for bank robbers to hold up? To them robbing banks is normal. Besides that we are already becoming a nation of zombies. There is one of the largest cannabis dispensaries in the area across the street from where I worked. They deal strictly in cash so they have security guards and can only have a few people in the store at a time. The rest are lined up outside. It looks like a homeless shelter.
