Did you know that Trump didn't win the popular vote?

This morning (11-27) it was announced that it appears the final count may now be in — and Trump has FAILED to win a majority of the popular vote. His final total, as of now, will be under 50% — or 49.83%.

This was no landslide. It was the smallest percentage of a popular vote victory in a Presidential election since Richard Nixon in 1968.

Actually, looking today I see results that Trump did win the popular vote. According to the sources I can see, Trump got just under 77 million votes. That was against Harris's 74 and a half million. Other votes went to Jill Stein (Green Party) and Mr Brain Worm. Not too surprising because Trump's followers will follow him even knowing he will destroy America. His choices will also bring problems to other democratic nations.

His followers were putting out a plethora of lies about what he stands for, what he has accomplished, and as many lies about Harris. It won't be long before a majority of people will see how wrong their votes for him were.

Winning the popular vote means you win more than anyone else, not that you win an absolute majority.

No, I didn’t know that. That’s not surprising to me, since it was announced practically the same night news claimed that he won without all the counting being done. Some states take days to count their votes. I’m glad most people don’t like him, then. I’m sure there’s an even greater percentage of those who didn’t vote for him and wanted Kamala but stayed home too because of different reasons.

It's tough for the core of the country to out vote the big cities due to population density. That's the reason for the electoral college.

That's when minority votes are counted. If you count just the two main candidates, Trump beats Harris by about 2 million votes, and that's significant, since Republican candidates rarely get more votes than the Democratic candidate even when they win the Electoral College vote.

Democrats are grasping at straws if the only positive thing they can get out of the election is Trump getting just less than 50% of the total popular vote.
