Alaska was one of the first states to legalized marijuana. Also, this year they voted to increase their minimum wage and paid sick days

Voters in Ohio last year made both marijuana and abortion legal

Missouri wow what a progressive streak they have last the few years

There are levels if liberalism and conservatism. Not everyone is radical right or radical left. Most people fall somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum, slightly left or right if center.

A red state that does some liberal and progressive things is not secretly liberal, it's just confirming its middle of the spectrum identity.

There are some blue states that do some conservative things, though it's generally not so obvious.
