I think what hte left is saying... to the left on that train... why didn't you offer him something to drink or eat, or offer him some comfort and hope.

The problems from this person and solutions were months and years ago. The system is garbage, the social support in the city is lax, and his family failed. Frankly, he failed.. schools failed him... and that is what they dounless you have really good parents or one of the really smart ones to get out. Else, you are screwed in those schools. He lacked resources to handle life... and failed.

It isn't fully the responsibility of the guy that finished him off... but some of it is. But I wasn't there to judge nor on jury to hear testimony. Choaking someone out... til almost dead... is generally a crime.

that's fine, and they may be right, I wasn't there. I've had multiple encounters but all could be calmed with basic human engagement. But I've seen these crazies in nyc... they can be scary. A sad desperate human... we'll... it's just a little child inside right? There is a reason they are sick... they cannot handle the traumas, stresses and failures. Hunger, and drugs and illness and failure... dangerous.
His mother was murdered... he was suffering. Where are people to go for help? Neely's grandmother ran into "the system" and got no help. I ran into this same long ago when I was angry... which is a reason I turned to Christ. I saw how useless our system was, it's a joke... and I had "free" emotional care. I figured out why people launch themselves off bridges.

The issue isn't Neely... he's dead. The issue is the other 1,000,000 Neely's walking around that you or I may encounter and the other billions of traumatized humans crying out. Some are dangerous, others are just wasting their lives... if only they had real help. Most people just need the same stuff as others... hope, progress... faith, love, food, water, security, etc.. Christ is the answer for many... family and community, essential. Some, maybe too late. Unfortunately, Christ was thrown out of society. Sometimes, you have to fight/subdue them... it's a tough "on the spot call".

So my answer on this is society failed that person. He failed, parents failed... but society failed! nyc should own that and evolve. But cops or military in the scene, people die.. it's what they are trained to do.

Regarding the murder of exec... I've heard "well off people" say the same... Frustration about medical healthcare. We are spoiled brats generation and corrupt. Whether it's pitchforks or guillotines or russian revolution... it's always about fairness, inequity from injustices of those in power. My family, aunts, uncles, brothers, mom, dad, wife, kids and myself, have had UnitedHealth for YEARS! All kinds of health problems! My dad has COPD, congestive heart failure, my mom is in no better condition but we've never had a problem with keeping them healthy. Sure, they deny benefits for certain things but it's either things that aren't clinically proven or they will question if it's actually necessary BUT not life saving!
