Why do people only reference white countries when they talk about the "rest of the world?"?

Like, white countries are a small minority of the global population, but somehow the "rest of the world" only means those white countries. Africa, Asia, the ME and LATAM seem to not count. Why do so many people do that?

The global population is overwhelmingly conservative, and people claim the world is left wing because Europe is. It's blatant racism and blatant erasure of non-whites.

I never understood why we insist on calling it Japan when it's Nippon or Nihon to some people. We do that to so-called 'white' countries too though. Germany vs. Deutschland for instance.
