Why don't the West and the US respect Turkey's desire to protect its borders?

I don't understand why it's a problem for the West and the US not to want terrorist kurds to gain power in Syria and approach our border. I'm sure you'd have the same security concerns if there were terrorists on your borders.

Maybe, just maybe, Kurds are not terrorists and just want to live their lives, language and culture peacefully, especially if it’s in a country outside of Turkey? So how about just leaving them alone?

Tukey is part of NATO and they've also been trying for many years to join the EU, so this is a way for other countries to blackmail them

I don't think the West needs the Kurds to stop us from joining the EU, Erdogan and his hundreds of thousands of men steal so much money from the state that the EU could use our corruption as a good enough reason to reject us. Even if they decide to accept us, Erdogan will withdraw his application because he can't bring himself to stop stealing 😂

I think the US formed an alliance with the Kurds, because they had a common enemy, Sadam Hussein and they needed the support of the Kurds to overthrow him, then I guess the alliance just sort of remained.
But I'm glad someone finally sees the Kurds for who they are. Not all Kurdish rebel groups are terrorists, but they have some very radical ideology.

To be honest I don't think they are radical because I have been living in a Kurdish city for 2 years because my job requires it and I have observed that they are actually moderate in their religion and other ideologies, contrary to what our media shows us. I have never been to their area before and I was surprised that they are more honest and sincere, unlike us Turks. When I was a kid, a Kurdish teacher came to my city and the parents of the students didn't want him to be their teacher and bullied him terribly, and when a Kurdish vote won in the elections, some people burned down the houses of Kurdish families living in his city. So when I went to the Kurdish city alone I was afraid that they would treat me the way we treated them, but on the contrary no one was racist towards me, they helped me when my car got stuck in the snow, I was not harassed because I was a single woman and I was never scammed because I was a foreigner in the city. Unfortunately, if you are a foreigner in Turkish cities, you will be scammed because you don't know the prices and if you are a single woman, you will be a target for many perverted men. To be honest, I am grateful to the Kurds for not letting me go through any of this, but I still have an uncontrollable hatred for them because I know many of them are happy to see Turkish soldiers die in the conflict.
