Actually I did, and thankfully both Trump and RFK made statements that they support polio vaccine, with Trump mentioning friends suffering from polio. Theere is a lot of fear mongering going around in the media making it seem like RFK's campaign lawyer petitioned the FDA to bane all polio vaccines, when the petition specifically called for IPOL to be revoked till proper testing is done, and this petition was done on behalf of another client unrelated to Trump or RFK.

President FDR had Polio leaving him crippled, President Eisenhower’s son or grandson (forgot which) got the Polio vaccination, many Americans were left in Iron Lung machines due to Polio….

No One should undermine the Polio vaccine because it can & has saved lives! If those that died of the aliment, were affected by the aliment, or even knew someone affected they absolutely would get vaccinated against it and Mitch McConnell is evidence of that sentiment.

I didn't know that. But I'm old enough to remember seeing people with polio fairly often. I don't see them any more. That's not a coincidence.

So far, small pox is the only human virus to be completely eliminated. Polio may be next in line. Or possibly measles or chicken pox. I've had both of those myself, but they are very rare in first world countries today. That's not a coincidence either.

Then there is cholera that kills vast numbers of children every year. The parallel is that there are people who are actually against sanitary flush toilets. Why? Because shitting, and pissing, and walking barefoot in the mud created by such activities is the way it's always been done.

Smallpox is wiped out, but there are still samples in labs. That's potentially a real threat if anyone got a hold of it. Smallpox vaccines are no longer given routinely and not recommended. If there was ever a breakout, a good vaccine already exists, but it would take time to mobilize. I have no clue how many doses are in stock, if any.

There are a lot of polio survivors. I personally know three of them. Polio was pretty much wiped out in the USA until a couple of years ago when Polio, Leprosy, and a few other disease that were not seen in decades have started showing up, It was not too long after Biden became president. Both RFK and Trump made recent statements that they support the polio vaccine, and those statements can be found in my opinion on this question. From what I've been hearing, Bernie Sanders is leaning towards confirming RFK as they are both in agreement with making our, but will be meeting with RFK to discus concerns he has.
