What is up with the left's extremely bizarre obsession with race and identity politics?

Xiden recently commuted most sentences of federal death row inmates, essentially removing them lawfully from the death penalty.

The only people he kept on death row were ones involved in domestic terrorism and race-based crimes, as Xiden refers to "hate" crimes.

But regardless of whether a mass murder targeted a certain race of people, are those crimes supposed to be more heinous than the ones committed against young children or those involving aggravated circumstances like rape, torture, or multiple victims?

I don't get why the left always seems to emphasize race and other classes of people, often ignoring all other factors.

The argument for abolishing the death penalty, and why Biden reduced the sentences of a bunch of death row inmates has nothing to do with race or identity politics. It has long since been established that the death penalty has no redeeming qualities and just has a negative impact on society. I am pretty sure Biden would have abolished it completely if he had the power, but the problem is that for whatever reason it still has a lot of public and political support which limits what Biden can do to things like this.

It is kind of ironic that you complain that the left is making everything about race and identity politics when you just became guilty of doing it yourself.

As for why the left keeps emphasizing race and classes of people? Because it is a response to a lot of racists and such in society. America is one of the most openly racist countries in the world, and yet many Americans pretends that everything is normal. Sadly, things are not normal and that sad truth needs to be hammered down until people actually understands that fact.

He didn't pardon some death row inmates, and specifically mentioned some were due to race-based reasons. Dylan Storm Roof were among the only few whose sentence wasn't commuted. The reason was because his murders were racially-motivated. I don't believe anyone committing heinous crimes should have been commuted, but he was picky and choosy on this one.

I think the criteria was to not remove the death penalty for terrorists and hate motivated mass murders. Sounds like a pretty clear-cut. And again, the death penalty is objectively a bad thing in the first place.

I'm someone against the death penalty in all situations. Just to start off.

So Washington state used to have the death penalty but was ultimately only killing minorities. Statistically improbable so they appeal the death penalty because the scale of justice is clearly tilted.

When you do Statistical averages it's more complicated then everyone in the class room gets a piece of candy.

Because they don’t believe people should be judged by their content or their character but rather their skin color, sex/gender, and other such things people cannot even control.

They like to project who they are on others. Not to say there isn’t right wing people who are racist among other things like that. But most people aren’t most people don’t just think in terms of skin colors and other such stuff.

These people are a minority. Most people aren’t really this extreme.

That "bizarre obsession" is a very calculated strategy. The left has thrived for years on sewing the seeds of division, hatred and fear along racial and gender lines. Democrats knew that as long as they could keep convincing minorities that Americans are racist, and women that America is sexist, they could control a majority of the electorate. It's been a winning strategy for them for a long time.

But this election was proof Americans have finally seen through their BS. Americans are weary of the hatred and division Democrats have so carefully fostered.

It is not just Xiden, it has been the left's overly aggressive focus. The pull the race card on everything. They like to call people __-phobics. It seems like the focus has always been on federally-protected classes of people, minus disabled people.

That is because Identity politics is the new religion. Back in the day people used argue about religion all the time. I remember one of my professors started talking about religion everyone got up and left out because at that point in time people stopped caring about religious debates.

And then soon after identity politics became the new things the argued about all day when just a few years ago no one cared about it. Your a "liberal", Your"convservative" blah blah blah you hear about it everywhere now.
