Why are liberals so obsessed with race?

Most of us aren't. Unfortunately, what was once a small vocal minority has become a much larger vocal minority that most people are horribly afraid to defy, or even question. And they're surrounded by others who are either blinded by party loyalty or fear of angering those who are angry and offended, which they somehow think automatically means they're correct.

There was a time when treating everyone the same regardless of race and religion was a liberal position; for now, at least, those days are gone. The movement as a whole has become obsessed with bigotry and a form of group-think that Joe McCarthy would call excessive. Pot-stirrers have realized that there's a fortune to be made fomenting outrage over innocuous nonsense, and figures in positions of power see that a few well-placed words can distract the world from their own misdeeds, so on the cycle goes.

Because most are closet racists. Or at least the ones I have had displeasing experiences with.

Take one who told me she couldn't be racist because her husband was Cuban. Yes. Of a predominantly european/white social class in Cuba so thus he wasn't dark, he didn't look mestizo, he didn't look "mulatto", or anything of the like. He looked European. If she didn't tell me he was Cuban I would've said southern German, or Serbian or the like.

I have traveled to a lot of countries - my parents have been all around the world almost between the two of them - and I have a very diverse friend base. From Egypt to South Africa to Thailand, etc. I am forever amused by liberals and their "equal rights" ideology, etc. when more often than not in their racist ignorance of the people they're baying about their behavior is down right insulting, slovenly and plain stupid. Like that useless liberal twat Trudeau from Canada when he went to India years ago.

Was it in Australia or New Zealand when dimwitted women took to wearing hijabs to help foster open arms to Muslims. The hijab isn't a scarf. It isn't as unimportant as a handbag. It's a religious piece of clothing. Really these white liberal women's behavior was as disrespectful and as ignorant as a band of non-Christians running around in a nun's outfit. And thus racist. They were only tolerated by default, if the Muslims had said fuck off & show us some respect these liberals would've bitched about meany Muslims.

Real liberals are not obsessed with race because we value individual freedom and hate group think. The group of marxists you incorrectly label Liberals are obsessed about race because their ideology teaches them to divide people into oppressor and oppressed and thus they seek to equalize every aspect of life to be the most equal they could possibly manage, often attacking the strengths of the 'oppressor'.

But the deeper answer is that people started attacking the financial system and the elites in the occupy wallstreet movement, so the establishment used these identity politics and racial division tactics as a very effective distraction.

All the school shooters, the salon man and the Colorado shooter would have been shot dead if they were any color but white. They need it like air or water

They exploit it to divide countries and convince different groups that they are not only oppressed but hated by everyone else, but them.

They use it to virtue signal who wonderful they are by not seeing color when everyone else can.

They use to to show how wonderful they are by adopting a minority child and raising it as a white liberal, denying it of its own heritage.

They exploit it to gain social power, like when they force a team to change its mascot or the lynch Uncle Ben, aunt Jemima and Mrs. Butterworth. They DO NOT CARE that many black people loved those marketing icons. They DO NOT CARE that many Native Americans felt pride when looking at the Washington Redskins logo. The important thing is that they forced a change that nobody else thought was needed

Liberals think anyone who isn't white is a poor defenseless species uncapable of thinking or doing for themselves. Look at it this way, 100 black people shot by other black people is something that can't be helped according to liberals. 100 black people shot by a white people is a national tragedy because as white people there advanced brains should know better.

Because it is a means to an end. There are two classes of liberals to consider here. The true liberal ruling class who know exactly what they’re doing, and their foot soldiers who just follow what the flavor of the week is and don’t really know what’s actually happening.
