Both sides of the political isle use social issues as tools to accomplish the main goal of politics: Keep people divided distracted and fighting against one another. One of the main reasons that is the end goal of politics is to keep free thinkers from banding together and coming up with actual solutions to many issues that we have in this country.

Free thinking is and always has been the enemy of those in power and those seeking power. Because The vast majority of people that have made a positive impact on humanity and helped humanity move forward have been free thinkers. If it was not for free thinking people such as Albert Einstein and Martin Luther King would have never made it into the history books or had the impact on human history that they did.

So established powers need to keep a lid on free thinking. Allowing free thinking to grow and spread would mean a massive threat to people in established power groups or those seeking entry into such groups. Hence one of if not the main goal of politics being to Keep people divided distracted and fighting against one another. Social engineering is one of the main ways politics is used to accomplish the above.

It does not matter if what side of the political isle you are on. So long as large enough percentage of the countries population is in the supporting one part of the other and unwilling to accept that they are under the influence of social engineering that is baked into politics, free thinking will continue to be stifled.

Lastly isn't it funny how social issues and social engineering start with the same word?
