Are the Scots Celtic or Germanic?

I know the Irish are Celtic and the English are Germanic. So are the Scots Celtic like the Irish or Germanic like the English?

Scotland is considered one of the celtic nations. They're a mix of native Britons and Irish with some Scandinavian and German in the mix. They are more closely related to Irish celts than they are to welsh, cornish, or those from Brittany.

Celt isn't a race, it's a term that once covered different tribes across Europe. After Rome fell, Germanic tribes flooded in and took land in East England. But West England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland remained largely under control of native Britons. Its better to say today you will find a greater percentage of native genes in these parts rather than say they are pure celts.

Neither. We are Picts and Gaels descendants in the North and islands, mainly. Though these days there is a lot more mixing along the central belt.
