What president gave the greatest inaugural address in modern times?

Hearing about Jimmy Carter passing brought this to mind for me. And I found this video with Carter sitting near President Reagan as Reagan gave his inaugural address after defeating Carter in the 1980 presidential election.

I think this was by far the greatest inaugural address in modern times. And I think Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump are the two best presidents in modern times.

I am proud to say that my sibling was an advisor to President Reagan and was part of the effort to help him become the greatest and most transformative leader on planet earth in modern times.

If you have not heard this speech, I urge you to watch the entire thing. It was a nation transforming event.

By the way a little bit of underreported history about this inauguration.

Iran took 53 American hostages under the Carter presidency and held them for 444 days.

After a severely botched rescue attempt in which America was humiliated under Carter, it wasn't until the very day AND THE VERY HOUR that President Reagan was sworn in on January 20th, 1981 (the hour of this speech) that Iran suddenly released the hostages.

They knew that America was now getting a real president. Sound familiar?
