@Dongie ik but that job changes you. I watched friends become insular, savior complex, indifferent, jaded, violent, (more) racist, narcissistic and less human. I think ALL of the social services part of policing should be refunded. Let them focus on CRIME and then rotate them so they're not constantly exposed to the worst of humanity. They're legitimately shell shocked from combat.

I'm in a town of 17k. We go years between murders. There are drug rings or peddlers and some sex offenders. We have a 60 plus Hispanic percentage with a third of them being illegals. A big thing in the papers is violent domestic shit and DUI.
