1 y“Do you agree that many women and some men think that false accusations against men are perfectly OK and not a problem?”
False accusations against men & women are not okay at all, it is a problem of the individual which would be snuffed out pretty quickly. A friend of mine told the story of how when her father was young, this woman claimed he groped her…. Though the local neighbors came at his defense saying that she is known to make things up for attention purposes.
In terms of Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Jeffery Epstein, Amber Turd (I mean Heard), and Epstein’s Girlfriend…. Yeah they are 100% real accusations which led to punishment and I hope P Diddy & Jay Z get what’s coming to them too. Abuse is never okay and real survivors deserve to see justice no matter how big or small their incident might be. Same with Epstein’s Flight Logs: Bill Clinton to Donald Trump to everyone involved.

*False Accusations are bad and are vile because it harms real victims from speaking out in fear of being ridiculed like these bastards utilizing a situation for clout, attention, short term fame, money, etc.

@msc545 Bill Cosby & Harvey Weinstein both were people in positions of power and used their influence to get away with heinous shit. They drugged victims and raped them, there was enough victims damaged physically (rape), mentally (the memory of the assault) through trauma they experienced. Hollywood made jokes like “don’t go to Harvey Weinstein’s apartment” years before the allegations came to light showcasing that enough people on the inside knew about his corrupt vile behavior and didn’t speak out. Bill Cosby fucking went to jail along with Harvey Weinstein showcasing that before a jury they say & heard enough evidence, testimony, timelines, etc. to be able to say “Guilty”.
Jeffery Epstein used his power and influence over political figureheads of both party lines & celebrities to get away with vile human sex trafficking violations since if they spoke out he would just say what they did on the island…. There are flight logs & records. We know he did it because we have his jet which he used to traffic human beings (minors to be exact) and his girlfriend was in on it (which is why she is in jail).
There is evidence and jurors made their decision based on the evidence given. These rich folk had the money for competent lawyers the best money could buy and they lost, that has to say something! - 1 y
@msc545 🙄
I watched the Amber Heard trial and saw the evidence & testimony. Hell, even the OJ Simpson trial (I didn’t even grow up with it or knowing about it so I judged it based on the evidence and remarks from both sides even I saw him as GUILTY as Hell excluding the whole armed hostage situation & excluding the whole fleeing from police) - 1 y

1 yIt's a huge problem. We have countless examples of stories where women lie about having been raped, or a man cheating etc. and their reasons are always out-of-this-world-wack like "he annoyed me" or "he didn't reciprocate my feelings". Men's lives ruined, career gone, persecuted online and irl because a woman made a malicious claim. It's disgusting to instantly believe any woman without any proof, and women who think nothing of fabricating anything for any reason, even more so appalling.

Anonymous(30-35)1 yI agree, and it's totally BS. The way the system is broken, when it comes to sexual assault, a man is guilty when proven innocent ruining his life while the woman who falsely accused goes about her life like nothing ever happened. Anyone else agree there's toxicity here towards men? Seen a question not long ago here about men on GaG being toxic, and what was funny was some of the opinions and replies from women were toxic towards men with false assumptions. Not sure if I'd considered it toxic, but answered a question about men and pointed out how the 2 statements in the question were 2 different things that have nothing to do with each other and the asker mad and accused me of mansplaining her question. I blame tik tok and other social media for the negativity towards us men.

Opinion Owner1 yWhile tik tok and social media aren't the cause, they do contribute to the problem, just go look at some of the negative posts about men on tik tok and social media. A few months back I watched video of a woman admitting she was was wrong about men and explained how her hate was influenced by social media.
Opinion Owner1 yWhen you have social media removing certain posts calling out the toxic woman it's not. I follow a woman on social Media who supports mens issues and calls out the toxic men hating women, and she's had several videos/post removed.
Anonymous(30-35)1 yI know some women think that way, but most don't. I have never heard of a man thinking that.
The real denial in this issue is the prevalence of false rape accusations. They are far more common than most people believe. And that is because only accusations that are proven to be false are counted in the statistics. But the VAST majority of false rape accusations are never proven to be false. Th rape charges are dropped due to lack of evidence and that is the end of it.
Having said all of that, women who do think false rape accusations are bad typically only feel that way because of the negative impact it has on whether real rape victims are taken seriously. They don't care so much about how false rape accusations destroy men's lives.
01 Reply4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I don't know about many women, but some people are strongly against any consequences for false accusations despite the fact that they irreparably harm the accused.

"False rape allegations rarely lead to imprisonment"
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45565684011 Reply- 1 y
The issue isn't the rate of false imprisonment. The issue is the absolutely insane amount of professional, reputational, and psychological health damage that occurs well before imprisonment is even a possibility.
Women can and regularly do absolutely wreck men's reputations and standing in communities and friend groups with false accusations. - 1 y
@ProbablyClueless it is the issue. When stats say it's not even a problem.
But ignored real rape cases are. Google "backlog of rape kits" - 1 y
This is one of those conversations where the two sides are talking passed each other.
What you are are saying is true, but the opposing argument is not that real rape cases aren't being ignored. The opposing argument is that most of the women making false accusations aren't filing police reports because they don't have evidence, nor do they need any to do immense damage. So we have no way of knowing how many false rape accusations are being made. - 1 y
@ProbablyClueless not really. You think this is a huge problem. I dont. How do we fix this issue?
- 1 y
The U. S. Army CID determined that 78% of rape complaints are UNFOUNDED.

Try talking with more people in your life about their exes. I started to recognize the problem when I intentionally spoke to more people about the subject. If you don't think this is a huge problem, it's because you simply haven't been exposed to how common it is for women to get vengeful with men. It's especially common for women to run around poisoning men's friendships and tell people that he's some kind of abuser.

@ProbablyClueless My ex did this and I lost 3 friends as a result of them believing her instead of me. Guys that had known me for years...

1 yIt's especially shocking when you realize these women have father's, brothers, husbands, and sons. This is proof positive that women have little regard for the men in their lives.
