I went to a Catholic college that had the Chieftains as a mascot. It had nothing to do with Indians but instead it is meant fo acknowledge the school's Irish Catholic tradition. This fact did not matter to the liberals that run the college. They changed the name to the "Skyhawks" .

Whenever the college calls me for a donation I tell them when they change the name back I will donate money , until then take my name off the list.

You know what is offensive? When people like you try to Black wash all the Native Americans. You don't recognize that many Native American tribes were genetically White Europeans that mixed with Asians before migrating to North America. As a result their skin looked similar to many Europeans thus they had less eumrlanin and more pheomelanin than the black/brown people your political party tries to portray them as. This means that when out in the sun for many hours every day, many Native Americans got a slight tan and sometimes got a little "red" in the skin from sun burns. I know that's how my people were. My Great Great Grandmother and her sisters look like typical White women when dressed in European/American clothing, yet the Democrats that controlled the south at the time labeled her a Mulatto in census data because she was Native American. When my Mom for example had her genetic profile analyzed (she's 1/8 Native American) the report shows that she is 99% European and 1% Asian. There was no African, and extremely little Asian genetics, thus proving through genetics that Native Americans in South to Central Florida were basically White people that got "red skin" when they stayed out in the sun for too long.

@Douglas1179 Yet when my Native American Great Great Grandmother was asked her race by the United States Census Bureau workers and she said that she was Native America Indian, they looked at her and saw a White woman married to a White man, and then went on to record her as "Mulatto" in the official records because they assumed she must be White mixed with something else to look that White. Officially the government saw her as White mixed with Black even though genetic analysis proves otherwise. So yes, the government did try to Black wash Native Americans in Florida under the Democrat party. I have photos of her in her tribal dress and Americanized/European clothing and she looks like a typical White women as do here sisters.
