Biden decides to continue flying flags at half mast during Trump's inauguration. Is this more snubbery on the part of Democrats?

The U. S. flag code is a set of rules enforced by traditions rather than laws. While Biden could theoretically order the flags to be raised for the inauguration, he has expressed no intention of doing so.

There have been instances of flag accommodations for significant events while the nation mourns a passing president. For instance, President Richard Nixon temporarily raised flags to full-staff on Feb. 13, 1973, to honor the return of prisoners of war from Vietnam, even though they were initially lowered for the death of his predecessor, Lyndon B. Johnson, on Jan. 22, shortly after Nixon’s second inauguration.

The Democrats don't seem to support the electoral process or peaceful transition of power, just like when they boycotted the 2016 inauguration and their supporters rioted.

It sounds like something the democrats would do. The petty actions of Joe Biden is giving American citizens the middle finger before he is ushered out the door. Pardoning his son, selling the surplus wall panels for pennies, pardoning hundreds of violent criminals, passing laws to insure that some bureaucrats cannot be fired, and giving Hillery Clinton and other traitors the Medal of Freedom award. All these acts show his contempt for the American people who hopefully remember this in 4 years and elect President Trump's successor.

Democrats support the electoral process and ceded the election when Trump won. It is Trump who lied about the voting process when he lost the previous election, then sent rioters to the Capitol to wreak havoc. He even supported those who tried to get to the vice-president to hang him. He refused to make a peaceful turnover to Biden who won the election. Biden is co-operating with the Republicans in turning over the government to them, showing the lie in your statement "The Democrats don't seem to support the electoral process or peaceful transition of power". There is a protocol for that so it might be a month after a president dies, but if that's not the case then it is completely inappropriate to not follow whatever the protocol number of days is and being rude to the incoming president. If I had to guess I think it would be half-mast until after the funeral, which I think is this week.

I have no problem with keeping the flag at half mast to honor an ex president. That goes for any ex president including the ones I hate. Not that I hate Carter.

I like the tradition and it should not become political. It not only honors an individual president, it also honors the long line of presidents that is our history.

I don't think keeping the flag a half mast dishonors the incoming president either. In a way, it does the opposite.
